Stunning Grade II listed cottage in the Cotswolds

Rose Cottage is a 250 year old building with most of the original features still intact. With the flag stone floors and open wood burner it is homely and welcoming. In the summer it catches the sun all day long. The cottage is one of the oldest in the village and has a unique energy. Its calming, relaxing atmosphere makes it a popular “retreat” from the stresses of everyday life. We welcome couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers alike. Two miles from the medieval towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury is the village of Shipton Moyne. The Beaufort Polo Club, Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton, and Gatcombe Park are a short distance away. Double Room with Private Staircase The bedroom is a double room with a king size bed. There is a hairdryer provided for your use. The large luxurious bathroom across the landing comprises of a walk in shower and a claw foot bath. There are tea, coffee, hot chocolate facilities for refreshment in the room. Bathrobes and slippers are provided as are shower gels and soaps. Private Sitting Room with TV and Patio Included in the price of the room is a private sitting room with a downstairs cloakroom. There is a TV and french doors opening onto a garden patio. Welcome to Rose Cottage. Our personal aim is to give our guests the best possible visit we can. We are always on hand to give directions and information on the best places to visit and eat. The Cat and Custard Pot is our local pub and is within walking distance of Rose Cottage. Free car parking near to our cottage is generally available. By Car (recommended): We are 3 doors down from the Cat and Custard Pot pub - look for the green B&B sign and fountain in the front garden over the yew hedge By Train: The nearest rail station is Kemble which is 10 miles away, then by taxi to Shipton Moyne. By Plane: Heathrow and Bristol airports are the usual arrival locations for overseas visitors. There are approximately 8 bus coaches per day which go from Heathrow to the nearest town Cirencester. From there, Shipton Moyne is around 13 miles away. Another option is to use the rail service from Heathrow to Kemble, as this is very frequent throughout the day. From either Cirencester or Kemble, a taxi is probably the most practical option to make the final leg of the journey and will take around 30 minutes. We started our B&B in 2009 and have worked towards achieving our consistently high review ratings by listening to our guests.
