Wildflowergite is in a very quiet village,30 minutes from Poitiers and Parthenay. Very popular with families and contractors enjoy the benefits of the homely setting and freedom to use facilities provided. THE SWIMMING POOL IS OPEN JUNE TO AUGUST ONLY AND IS NOT HEATED. There is plenty to do in and around the area, we provide information of most tourist attractions in the gite. Wildflowergite is self contained property linked to the owners property via a connecting door. It has all that is needed to provide an enjoyable stay. Sunny private terrace area with bbq and seating. The private swimming pool is exclusively for use by guests during summer season of June to August during specific times. The pool is not heated. Always very popular with our regular guests who enjoy their privacy. There is a connecting door to the main house, so should you need any help just knock and ask no question is silly, we are here to help. We are happy to share with you our experiences of life in France. The locals are very friendly. We are popular rental with locals to provide accommodation for family events such as weddings, baptisms , family reunions especially at Christmas and New Year, and is booked quickly and early. We live in a very friendly village with local young families of several generations, there is lots to see once you step outside and take a walk around. You will see and hear the sheep across the road bleating and the cockerels crowing to each other daily.The gite has proven to be very popular with families especially during school breaks, couples enjoy the tranquility, a chance to experience country life french style. There is a windmill 5 minutes walk away and a museum. We have a swimming pool, which is located in our private garden. During the months of May through to end of September it will be available for gite guests sole use. Clear rules are listed on site in relation to pool use and will require signatures prior to use. Futuroscope is only 35 minutes by car and other popular towns and villages nearby You will need a car to travel around to the big attractions, but if you bring your bicycles with you ,your option to take leisurely rides around the local hamlets to explore will ensure you do not miss out on any of the secret gems around the area. We have a good local taxi service available . The A10 and train stations to Poitiers and or Parthenay are 30 minutes away. Poitiers airport is the nearest to our gite and you could hire a car too. There are details of a bike hire company that is available for guests,check the welcome pack. There are leaflets available of nearby tourist attractions for you to consider during your stay. These are available upon request. Please do not remove from the gite. We are a popular choice for locals at Christmas and New Year who have family coming to visit, as well as other family events too. If you plan to visit any of the water parks please bring swimming towels with you. There is a high chair available for children aged maximum 18 months and upon request a travel cot can be provided for use. We are pleased to provide our guests with a welcome basket for your first morning breakfast. The swimming pool has rules listed at the entrance to the pool area. Please be aware that sunscreen worn in the swimming pool will stain the pool walls and will require additional cleaning at a cost to the gite guest. All children und 16 years must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area. A full list of rules are supplied in the welcome pack.
