Newly renovated - Kangaroo Street haven

A newly renovated home in our favourite place in the world! Sunrises over 90mile beach, sunsets over Lake Victoria, kangaroos in the yard, koalas, rabbits, colourful birds, no light pollution and a bright starry sky - this place is so delightful. Enjoy the luxury of this newly renovated home, tiled bathroom, 900mm oven, carpeted bedrooms, perfect for a weekend getaway or summer holiday at the beach. Boats, jet skis, pets all welcome. Guests have access to the whole house and yard. We often come and stay in Loch Sport ourselves and have been coming here for years. We may be around the township during your stay but will leave you to enjoy the haven. If you need anything we are available on the phone to ask :) This haven is bang smack in the middle of Loch Sport. National Park at one end of the town, boat ramp at the other. 900m to the BP service station 2.8km to the local Foodworks grocery store Lakeview Bar and Bistro has a free shuttle bus if you want to go for dinner and drinks. RSL, fish and chip shop and Lochy Coffee also local spots for a bite. Town also has a pharmacy if you need. Over the summer there is a range of food trucks on the foreshore that cycle through for something more novel! 8 minute walk, 650m to Lake Victoria - a lovely spot for a swim. Over the other direction is a half and hour walk (4min drive) over the causeway to 90mile beach - great fishing spot and lovely view but a bit rough for a swim. Seaspray is a drive away for a patrolled beach for a swim in the big waves and a meal at their new Surf Lifesaving Club! Loch Sport is a friendly country town. There is no taxi service however there is a free courtesy bus to the local pub - just give them a call to book in. There is a public bus to and from Sale a couple of times per week but is not recommended to use this to get around town as you might be waiting all day! Cars, bikes, boats, jet skis all welcome :) There is a BP just around the corner if you need to fill up with fuel, and a bike service station at the General Store on your way into town if your bike needs a tune up. Sleeps 7 - two queen bedrooms, and a double with single bunk on top this house is perfect for young families, couples, or a few friends. Tea and coffee are there ready for you to enjoy. No smoking, no parties, but please enjoy this space as much as we do. Cheese platter and a bottle of Prosecco a must! BYO Linen (towels, sheets, pillow cases). There is a local person who supplies this for $20pp if preferred - just ask us for details and we will be happy to put you in touch. House trained pets are welcome indoors and outdoors, but not on the furniture. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to bring your fur babies. The property is fully and securely fenced as of 1 November 2021. Note that dogs are able to be at the lake (and many are down there!), but they cannot accompany you on any walks in the national park. Brand new large outdoor deck built in December 2021 to soak up the sun - new 4 burner BBQ available for your use. Please no fires - there is often a total fire ban in the area. House has just been renovated - Kitchen range hood and splash back have not yet been installed but space is fully useable. Please take care :) Families welcome - the lake has many sheltered spots for kids to swim/play, and we have a range of games, DVDs, and activity kits created to keep you entertained on rainy days. Please note Loch Sport is TANK WATER ONLY. Please be considerate when using water as it is in limited supply.
