High on a hill with breezes, private and quiet, this large 2 storey home is on acreage, with 2 dogs, a cat and chickens. Upstairs- Two large bedrooms, wardrobes with mirror doors, shelves, desks, dressing table or chest of drawers. Fans and TV in each room and own fridge to share. Tea and coffee facilities available. Both rooms look down into the trees and garden. Wild Rainbow Lorikeets feed daily. Bathroom is next to bedrooms. Double shower, antique style bath to relax at end of day. Two bedrooms available. One has a double bed, ceiling fan, wardrobes with mirror doors, bedside tables, dressing table with mirror, desk with lamp, and TV. Linen and towels provided The other bedroom has 2 king singles beds, ceiling fan, wardrobes with mirror doors, bedside tables, large desk/table and lamp, plus TV. Linen and towels provided. All linen, towels, soaps provided. High speed Wifi is provided. Parking is off street for a medium sized car. Larger vehicles fit if parking is co-ordinated. Check in is after 2pm up to 8pm and checkout is 10am. Breakfast is juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee, plus milk. You have the sole use of a small fridge outside your rooms. Access to the mezzanine room where the iron and ironing board are set up if required , but please advise first so I can show you how to use that facility. I have information on the area and am happy to give you some direction on the sights, on transport and entertainment. LOCATION Shailer Park is situated half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, 15 minutes to Morton Bay islands and 40 minute drive to the mountains. Easy drive to the famous theme parks of Movie World, Dream World and Sea World. In addition, catch the train to Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, to be entertained by the creation of Steve Irwin. Catch the bus to the city and go on a tour of Fraser Island. . Within a short drive, is Morton Bay with Stradbroke Island and Morton Island plus numerous other smaller islands that you can pop over by ferry and stroll on the beaches. NATURE. There are some great free nature walks in this area, with picnic spots . Just 5 klms away, Daisy Hill Koala Sanc.uary set in a local State Forest, offers numerous walks and picnic areas. Koalas can be visited in the sanctuary. Kimberly Forest is within a short walk. SHOPPING, CINEMAS, HOTEL, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT. The Hyperdome shopping centre is within walking distance, and has many diverse shops, plus restaurants, coffee shops and a cinema with multiple screens. The Bus terminal is situated next to the Hyperdome and the bus 555 leaves every 15 minutes to the city and also to the Beenleigh Train station. . There are 2 bus stops near here plus the main bus terminal is only 15 minutes walk to the Hyperdome Shopping centre. From the Bus Terminal the buses go in various directions, to the city and to the Beenleigh Train station which takes one to the Gold Coast or in the opposite direction to Brisbane City. I can provide a laundry service of approximately a 7 kg load, that will be washed and dried on the outside lines, and folded. There is a fee of $10 per load.
