We will be available at any time 24 hours a day for any emergency or special request Villa del Mito - Blue Marine is situated within a rural area isolated from other houses but with available services and shops a few kilometers away in the nearest towns of Tricase Porto, Tricase and Andrano. Within the area, you will discover the beautiful tower and abbey "Torre e Abbazia del Mito" and the "Torre del Sasso" with an incredible sight view at less than a few hundreds meters from the villa. From the Torre del Mito continue for 1.5km of dirt road on a country road. We recommend your own means of transport and to avoid cars or vehicles that are too low because the road could be a little bumpy. The exact date on which the abbey of Santa Maria del Mito was founded is not known, but it is known that, between the eighth century and the ninth century, there were numerous abbeys, monasteries, churches and rural chapels in the area, mostly part founded by the Basilians. The foundation of the abbey of Tricase, therefore, can probably be attributed to this period and to the hand of this community. Over time, the abbey evolved into a remarkable center of culture and became a totally self-sufficient farm, located between the fiefs of Tricase and that of Andrano. In the seventeenth century the situation of the complex was down to poor due to pirate raids. We recommend having your own transport.
