This beautifully renovated cottage dates back to the 18th Century. It sits in the conservation village of Charlestown and offers both woodland and coastal walks in neighbouring Limekilns. The cottage is ideal for exploring Edinburgh and Fife and offers a tranquil retreat at the end of your day. The village shop is a five minute walk away as are some lovely local pubs. We would love to welcome you to our beautiful villages. The historic villages of Limekilns and Charlestown are off the main road which allows them to maintain a sense of calm. Edinburgh is easily accessible from local bus and train stations or 35 minute drive. Parking is on street or in a small car park opposite the property. We live locally and can help out with any queries during your stay. We have lovely pubs and a wonderful café. There is a small park in Charlestown and an excellent play park in Limekilns. There are lovely walks through the Broomhall estate. The local lime kilns have recently been restored and The Scottish Lime Centre is situated in the village. There are excellent train links to Edinburgh from Inverkeithing Railway Station (15 minutes away) or bus links from Ferrytoll Park and Ride (10 minutes away). Local buses to Dunfermline run every hour from the villages. We welcome one well behaved dog only. Dogs cannot go in bedrooms or on the sofa. There are lots of lovely walks locally for your pooch!
