Sitting atop a small hill on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Villebazy is Le Moulinas, a stylish architect-designed modernist house with panoramic views, stunning sunsets, a clean yet playful modern interior and all the comforts of home. The house is a tranquil retreat that can work as a base from which to explore the area or simply to stop and unplug for a while... With a spacious single floor layout, it is the perfect open and light house to share with a small group of friends or family (the large playroom at the end of the house is the perfect child play zone and the house is also equipped for babies & toddlers with a travel cot & high chair); Le Moulinas offers large comfortable living spaces inside & out allowing you room to stretch out, relax and unwind in the peaceful rolling French countryside. You will be met with the key for the house and we will provide you with a local contact should you have any questions. While you may wish to enjoy the local French produce from the markets and well equipped supermarkets, a local caterer is available for those occasions you'd like something made for you. The property is cleaned weekly (if you require extra to this it is available at an extra fee). A folder can be found on site with a guide to local activities and ideas on walks, castles to visit and more... We do not live nearby but have a point of contact who lives locally and can check in with you. However, we are always available on email to answer any other questions you may have! A short drive from Limoux and/or Carcassonne and just south of St Hilaire - the home of Blanquette (the original French sparkling wine), Villebazy is nestled among forests and vineyards at the foot of the Corbieres mountains. It is a quiet and pretty village, with a daily bread van that visits the village in the mornings. The house enjoys spectacular views across the valleys to the Pyrenees in the distance. There are numerous interesting walks, cycle rides and visitor attractions within easy reach of the property. While you will need a car to access the property, there are many fantastic walks/hikes in the area and further afield, plus great cycling (especially mountain biking)... Local guides and maps are available to help with your plans.
