A beautiful detached Victorian house in city

A beautiful, individual home (4600 sq ft), comfortable and modernised with huge rooms and set in its own grounds. Electric gates protect drive for 4 /5 cars. House is in the exclusive Park Estate, 10 minutes walk from Nottingham city centre. Other than having plenty of space (most guests comment that the house is even bigger than the photos suggest), this is our home, designed to enjoy with good food with friends and family. The dining room looks fabulous when lit with candles and can seat 14 people. If the weather is fine, it is good to barbeque either in the rear garden or in the garden room. There is a table and seating for 12 in the garden area as well as well as in the courtyard. There are 5 double bedrooms and a downstairs study with double sofabed, making a 6th bedroom and there are 4 bathrooms. The whole house except for 1 office will be available. This is our family home, but we move out when we have guests. Our neighbours are lovely and helpful (Website hidden by Airbnb) Please let us have your ETA the day before you arrive and we will be there to hand over keys and go through basics with you when you arrive. We are happy for you to use basic cooking ingredients such as spices, herbs, condiments. We also provide milk, tea, coffee, home made bread, butter, jams and marmalade etc. for your first breakfast. Our wine racks will be well stocked but we expect you to replace any wine drunk. The Park Estate is a Victorian estate of mostly grand, detached houses. There is no through traffic so it is quiet. Take time to walk round the area and discover the Tunnel leading onto Derby Road, and The Castle at one of the entrances to The Park. There are events on the "Circuses" (open areas in the middle of The Park) including a mini Farmers' Market on the second Sunday of each month. There is plenty of parking on the drive. Cars left on the road must display a visiter sign as it is a private estate. (There are wardens patrolling). People living in The Park tend to walk to town, about 10-15 minutes. There are buses from Derby Road, but it is quicker to walk! The Michelin Starred "Alchemilla" restaurant is five minutes walk away. Early booking essential! Also, the award winning Small Food Bakery specialising in organic sourdough is on Seeley Road (5 minutes walk) and well worth visiting. The Park Stores (Deli) is 2 minutes walk from the house and provides most necessities and has an off-license. Just along from there is another convenience store. If you don't want to cook, breakfast can be had at Toast (small and friendly) nearby on Derby Road.
