Cosy Bunny Cottage, Ashbourne town centre- parking
Recently renovated, quaint ‘old workers’ cottage built in the 1800s, located in the centre of the picturesque historic market town of Ashbourne. Popular with visitors all year round it provides welcoming pubs, restaurants, a leisure centre, cafes, individual shops and supermarkets. The cottage is a short drive from Alton Towers, Dovedale, Carsington Waters, Markeaton Park and Derby town centre. Free WIFI and smart tv and Netflix. 1 off-road parking space in front of the cottage. The cottage is both cosy and characterful. It offers comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. The kitchen diner is very well equipped if you prefer to stop in and cook rather than go out in the evening. There is a dining table, which extends and also a breakfast bar. The utility provides a washing machine as well as a full sized dishwasher. The cottage has a delightful, fully enclosed garden, perfect for children and warmer evenings. All parts of the property are available to guests- other than the shed at the bottom of the garden. Please feel free to contact me at anytime during your stay with any questions. I am happy to give recommendations about places to eat and drink! The cottage is a 2 minute walk from a large Co-op and 5 minutes from Sainsbury’s. It is also a 5-10 minute walk to the local leisure centre and swimming pool and the very popular Tissington trail; ideal for both cyclists and walkers. Ashbourne is set in very beautiful countryside and is the ideal place to relax and unwind. Throughout the year, Ashbourne hosts numerous festivals and events in the town and these can be viewed on the tourist board website but include Shrovetide and a summer festival. Bunny cottage is only a 5 minute walk from the bus station for guests wishing to explore the the wider area. There is a lovely local pub called the Smiths Tavern in the town and a gastro pub called the Greenman as well as an Artisan pub selling craft beers (The House of Beer) which are very popular with locals and tourists alike. Just past the town centre is a tea room called Betty's that does amazing afternoon teas for just £10pp (booking advised). For those who are creative or have children there is a pottery painting cafe called sticky fingers on church street.
