A fantastically light and spacious family house in central Leek. Deceptively large, open plan living with walled garden. A modernised, clean and beautiful Georgian brick townhouse with 5 bedrooms, three bathrooms and huge living space. Car parking in garage and just metres from the Highstreet, market place and fab pubs. A perfect place to explore the Peak District, climb on the Roaches, visit Alton Towers or relax with family and friends. Nightly costs include all our cleaning costs, no extra! This is our family home that we have been doing up ourselves over the last few years. We love real wood, clean white walls and open plan living. We have knocked walls through, put solid wood floors in and renovated from scratch. We then got a job further north and couldn’t bring ourselves to sell our beloved house as we’re hoping to come back. There are plenty of our belongings, books and artefacts as well as kids toys still in the house and you will feel it is a home not a hotel. This is our home and you will have access to all the living space - on the top floor, five double bedrooms, as well as a brand new, modern bathroom with shower and an even more brand new ensuite. The middle floor is the main living space- a huge open plan central kitchen with breakfast bar/ island, and dining room. This flows into the living room / tv snug with double sided wood burning stove. There is then a conservatory (yet to be renovated) that opens out into the lovely, raised walled garden. It has a good seating area with fire pit, catching late afternoon sun, grass and flower bed area and mucky play area for kids to enjoy. You can descend steps to access the yard and car in garage from here. On the middle floor there is also another modern bathroom with large bath and shower, as well as a smart library/ reading snug, and a utility/ office. On the ground floor, the main front room is open to use, with a piano, and two sofas in and new carpets throughout. This is going to be our music and games room but is not yet finished! (accessible straight from front door or back yard door) but the rest of the ground floor rooms are our working project and tools/ diy materials, so are blocked off. We are away, so we are unfortunately not around to meet you, but are very contactable on the phone/ email. We have friendly neighbours to solve problems or answer questions if needs be. Leek is fantastically located for access to the Peak District, Alton Towers and so on. It is a cute 'independent' market town with lovely markets, 30 pubs in the immediate area, (really!) some great little shops, restaurants and cafes and a big park. Train to Stoke on Trent and then a bus or taxi could work, but a car is pretty useful to get out exploring the area! One / two if small, cars can park in the covered and locked garage/ car port, but there is free street parking 100m away as well as a long term cheap car park, and just outside on Bath Street, free parking evenings and Sundays. Please bring your own shower towels, but all tea towels and hand towels are provided and of course all bedding.
