We're pleased to introduce our newly developed one bedroom gite in the heart of beautiful Quercy Blanc. It's a cosy self-contained flat with a private entrance, perfect for a romantic idyll. We're located in a small village with boulangerie, bank with cash machine, mini-supermarket, Post Office, Tabac & bar/restaurant and a small Thursday morning market all within two minutes walk. The village surrounded by rolling hills full of fruit trees in an area which is described as the 'French Tuscany'. The space comprises an elegant and light bedroom with a king-sized bed; a modern well-equipped kitchen with new oven and dishwasher; a comfortable living and dining area; and a newly-fitted bathroom. Outside is a sunny private terrace with table and chairs and BBQ for al fresco meals and breakfast. The pool is shared with the owner.. Our large, well-established garden and pool are available for guests' use. Pool and garden. We are happy to provide guides and recommendations for outings and restaurants and we will be around most days and are very happy to tell you about this wonderful part of France described as "The French Tuscany"; and rightly so! This little-known area of France has much to offer to visitors. Nearby, Lauzerte listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France, is only 7 kms away, and Montcuq has a stunning swimming lake with a beach. These are charming bastide towns on the top of a hill, are on the pilgrim Route de Santiago de Compostella, as is Moissac with its Romanesque abbey and cloisters. The Cahors wine area, a short drive away, offers the opportunity to buy excellent Malbecs straight from the producers. You will need a car to get around. We have a wonderful young dog called Winston who likes people a lot!
