Jungle Stays is a nature retreat & a community that creates wholesome experiences through nature for seekers, artists & travelers. We are spread out on a nine acres surrounded by woods and a total disconnect from the daily grind of the cities. Nestled between Deodar, Pine & Oaks we offer a 180 degree view of the marvelous Himalayas and a promise of no two evenings alike. Designed with a slow pace in mind this is a place to reset, reflect, and relax! The campsite offers spectacular views of lush green mountains of pristine Himalayan mountain range. Atmosphere is relaxing and an experience to stay connected with the nature. Swiss Camps are clean, spacious and equipped with all basic amenities. All camps have attached tiled washrooms with modern amenities. In-house dining facility is available serving a range of Indian delicacies. Guests have access to the camps they have booked and public area at the campsite. I like to meet and greet our guests personally but due to my busy schedule i might not be available always at the property , However you can call me on my phone anytime in case of any assistance . We suggest our guest to enjoy the nature here. It is a quite neighbourhood with pine trees around , there are some interesting treks for which we provide assistance . In vicinity there is Chail Wildlife Sanctuary which attracts a large number of nature lovers and wildlife photographers and you can spot a wide variety of flora and fauna that includes animals like Himalayan black deer, common langur, sambar, goral,among others. Kali ka Tibba is a popular shrine in Chail which is 12 km from the property that is often visited by people from nearby towns and villages apart from tourists. Kufri is 35 km from here . You can go for forest treks, have food with locals in their old style mud kitchens, learn new cooking techniques used by Himachali Botis, have a bonfire, stargaze (as we have an open panoramic view of the sky) and if you just don't want to do anything at all we will make sure that no one disturbs you! Q: How far is the campsite from Chail? The property is 10 km from Chail market on Chail-Kandaghat Road. The nearest landmark is Sonaghat bus stop. Its about 20 minute drive from Chail. Q: How far the campsite from Kandaghat? Kandaghat is approximateky 19 km from the campsite, a 45 minute drive. Q: Which is the nearest Airport? Shimla Airport at Jubbarhatti is about 65 km and Chandigarh airport is 135 km away. Q: Which is the nearest Railway Station? Kandaghat Railway Station is 19 km, Shimla is 45 km, Chandigarh is about 120 km and Kalka is around 96 km away. Q: Are VOLVO buses available for Chail? There is no direct VOLVO bus to Chail. Board any Shimla bound VOLVO and get down at Kandaghat. From Kandaghat, its a 19 km drive to the campsite. Chail is connected by a direct bus from Chandigarh operated by Punjab Roadways (PEPSU). The bus leaves Chandigarh Sector 43 bus station at 1.15 in the afternoon and reaches nearby campsite around 6 pm. Q: What to see around Chail? You can also book one camp for maximum 3 person in this listing. In all we have 15 camps at the campsite. - What are meal facilities available at the campsite? We have a full-time cook who cooks tasty home made veg and non-veg food. Meals are available on fixed menu as below: Breakfast: 250/- per person Lunch Dinner: 350/ Veg and 450 Non veg per person * Taxes Extra Apart from meals, snacks, tea/coffee are also available. - Can I cook my meals myself? Sorry, self cooking option is not available. - Is the camp Pet friendly? No, pets are not allowed at the property. - Can Bonfire and Barbeque be arranged? Yes, Both are available at an extra cost. Bonfire cost ₹800/ night. - What are the activities offered at the campsite. We offer a range of group activities like Zip-line, Rappelling, Valley Crossing on chargeable basis. We also offer short treks around the campsite in afternoon or early mornings to introduce you to Himalayan flora & fauna at nominal charges. - Is there any walking involved to reach the campsite? Jungle Stays is a drive-in campsite. We are 400 meters from the main road connected with a well marked link road. Cars, Jeeps, Tempo Travellers can easily reach the campsite. There is no walking involved to reach the campsite. - Where do we park the cars? We have in-house parking having ample space within the premises for approximately 30 vehicles. Parking is free of charge and at owner's risk. - Does mobile phones work here? Sadly, you are connected with the mobile signals!! How much we tried to keep you off the mobile, the signals have finally reached the campsite. All major mobile services are available with 4G connectivity.
