Honeysuckle Cottage-North Devon is located in an idyllic rural setting. It dates back to the 1800s, converted from original farm buildings, set within a courtyard of nine cob cottages with far reaching views of the countryside and the coast. Nestled on the outskirts of West Down village and just 10 minutes drive to Woolacombe beach, is this little two bedroomed cottage set amongst large gardens. It is the perfect base for exploring the stunning North Devon coast or the many nearby attractions. This property is cosy and compact perfect for couples and small families. It includes a lounge , small kitchen complete with fridge (no freezer compartment) hob, multi function microwave-conventional oven and a recently renovated shower room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed with a twin set up option (each bed 2 ft 6 wide) the other bedroom has a double bed. The cottage has a smart TV with access to streaming channels such as Netflix and prime and a DVD player.All linen and bath towels are provided.  Free WiFi. There is limited space for a cot. Washing facilities are available on site at extra cost. Outside there is a spacious grass courtyard where there is a bistro table and four chairs for guests to use. There is a separate BBQ area behind the cottage, a tennis court and in one of the barns is a games room containing a pool table, darts, table tennis and many other games. - perfect for rainy days or evening fun. There are two further large gardens at the back of the cottages which open onto fields.  Free off road parking. The village of West Down is a 10 minute walk where there is a pub with restaurant, community shop and church. Ilfracombe is 3 miles away and its delightful harbour, Woolacombe is 5 miles away with its long sandy beach stretching to Putsborough. Beach cafes dotted along the beach where you can watch the surfers in the sea. The Tarka trail and South West Coastal path is within easy reach. Walking maps available on request. Lundy Island, Clovelly, Exmoor, The Milky Way, Rosemoor Gardens and Dinosaur park are among the many local attractions. as well as surf schools at Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde. We accept one dog, two small dogs if only two guests. Dog exercise field. Guests can use the whole cottage, large gardens and tennis court shared with 8 other cottages. Available by phone, text or email The property is less than 1 mile, about 10 minute walk to West Down village which has a lovely pub serving food at lunch time and evening, a small convenience store and church. Within 10-15 minutes walk is a community playing field with a children's play area and picnic tables. The cottage has off the road free parking. It is best to have use of a car, although there is a good bus route to Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Barnstaple within a 30 minute walk to the bus stop. Bikes can be hired in Braunton and Barnstaple. We accept one well behaved dog. Two if human occupancy is two.
