The Annexe at Christophers is part of a beautiful thatched Grade II listed cottage in the picturesque village of East Budleigh. The village is an oasis of calm away from the busy tourist areas of Devon yet within 3 mins drive of the beautiful south Devon coast at Budleigh Salterton and sandwiched between the bustling seaside towns of Sidmouth and Exmouth. The historic city of Exeter is a 30 min drive away. Please note that the address is Budleigh Hill, East Budleigh, not as shown. With it's own entrance, parking and garden, the annexe offers a luxurious home away home and is part of a 1500's traditional cob long house. Our aim is to preserve the historic nature of the house coupled with modern luxuries. The upstairs bedroom has a beautiful four poster bed, deep free standing bath and separate shower and WC. Please note, for guests using the sofa bed in the lounge, the bathroom forms part of the upstairs bedroom. Downstairs, the lounge has a stunning fireplace with a gas log effect fire, 2 sofas, one of which can be converted into a sofa bed, cosy window seats and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, filtered water tap and Tassimo coffee machine. The annexe has its own garden with table and chairs, as well as a coal BBQ for you to enjoy as weather permits. East Budleigh is a small village with a local shop, it is easy to walk around. Street parking is unrestricted and we have private parking for one car. More may be able to be arranged on request. I live in the main side of the house so if required I can meet you on arrival and show you around the property. I'll also provide you with my mobile number so you will always be able to get hold of me if needed. If you are considering bringing a dog , (we welcome fully housetrained dogs,), please state the breed and how many on enquiring availability. There is an additional charge to cover the extra cleaning. Please note we have an EV charger and there is an additional charge for using our. Please note that we allow a day and a half for cleaning between bookings but could possibly accommodate an earlier check in if required. Please ask. East Budleigh prides itself on its welcoming environment. It is proud of its links to Sir Walter Raleigh and references to the explorer can be found throughout the village, including a bronze life size statue. There is a local village shop and a village herb garden where herbs can be cut as needed. The village lies next to the River Otter which offers a beautiful walk beside the river and through the estuary conservation area down to where the river flows into the sea at Budleigh Salterton East Budleigh is the start of many gorgeous rural and coastal walks. There are trainlines in nearby Exmouth and Exeter Self catering accommodation
