Wadella Farmhouse, family country retreat.

Built in 1854 this 3brm secluded cottage on our farm stay is where you can enjoy the peacefulness of the country with all the comforts of the modern day and only 20min from Bathurst city center. Relaxing on the wrap around balcony you will hear the sounds of the rivulet below, the birdlife and farm animals including our horse Choco who likes to say hi at the fence of your country retreat. Inside is everything you need including the comfort of a fireplace or A/C in the summer. For your comfort on a cold country night we have heating and a fireplace plus electric blankets on the beds. A full kitchen with all amenities, a classic claw bath to relax in the morning and Netflix on your TV at the end of your night. Outside is a BBQ with a view and an outdoor table to sit back and watch the sun set at dinner, don’t forget to look for a Kangaroo hopping by. Plus WiFi, Netflix and a selection of games and books to enjoy. The cottage is fully fenced and safe for kids or pets. We have a dam close by and the rivulet to walk to, both are fenced. The cottage is seperate from our homestead so you have your own space to enjoy. When you arrive we can show you the best paddocks to walk though depending on what animals we have there at the time. We also have access to the Rivulet to wade through the water or even a little dip. The cottage is on our property so we are available as needed but also secluded and private for your holiday needs. Peel is a small village 15min from Bathurst. And our property is 5 min outside the village. There are plenty of walks to do in Peel but also the lovely drive to Sofala is only 30min away. Sofala is one of the oldest gold mining towns and Hill End is another 30min from Sofala with a rich history and plenty to see form the Gold Era. We have many paddocks with a range of farm animals. If you big into a paddock please close the gate. We have sheep, goats, horses, chickens and two dogs. We would love to show you around safely.
