The property is part of a large rustic farmhouse on the Devon/Somerset border. Dating back to the 1700's, it is set in a perfect location with easy access to beautiful scenery of the south west peninsula. Ideal for families, you will have the whole of the East Wing during your stay which provides generous, spacious self-catering space and sleeping for up to 6 guests. The farmhouse retains much olde worlde charm and is well equipped with modern comforts. The East Wing is self contained with a generous living area including a large lounge with feature fireplace, spacious dining conservatory and new well equipped kitchen. Upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms, both with shower en-suites and a separate bathroom with bath and shower. There is plenty of parking in the old farmyard and a large garden with a picnic bench for guests to use. The property is situated down a private lane in a rural setting. Parking is provided in the old farm yard adjacent to the property. Guests can walk from the property to nearby villages and explore the surrounding area using the public footpath network. Travel further afield will require a vehicle. We live in the west wing and are available for any help during your stay. The rural and peaceful setting it provides direct access to many footpaths which can be used to explore nearby villages and scenery. Wellington monument is close by and worth a visit. It it currently undergoing restoration. Regular bus routes are nearby and provide access to Exeter, Taunton, Tiverton and Cullompton. Mainline train stations are about 10 miles away at Tiverton and Taunton. The property has recently been adapted to accommodate self-catering guests and is new to AirBnB. It benefits from a brand new kitchen and bathroom as well as generous bedrooms and living space. It is ideally suited for family holidays. It also suited to guests interested in walking or cycling. The Blackdown Hills, Quantocks, Exmoor, Dartmoor and South West Coast path are all within easy reach and offer a mixture of great road/off-road cycling and walking opportunities. For those interested in visiting the coast, you can travel to the north or the south coast within an hour or so and enjoy beautiful beaches and scenery, including the renowned surfing beach at Woolacombe, North Devon.
