A charming 2 bed-roomed holiday cottage in the heart of Lochgoilhead village with loch & mountain views. Pet friendly. The cottage The pictures tell the story. Ashburn Cottage has been refurbished to a high standard, with modern fixtures and fittings, while retaining the character of the original property. It is available to visitors to come and enjoy a stay in this most scenic of locations. You will be comfortable, cosy, and glued to the views as you watch the comings-and-goings in the village and on the loch from the patio or sun room. What a location. Steps away from the village store, and near to the Goil Inn, perfect for a social drink or meal. Close to the jetty for fishing, the shores of the tidal sea loch for exploring, and the start of a number of marked walking trails to take in the ever changing views. You approach the cottage over a bridge crossing a small stream (use of the garden by unsupervised children is not advised) in the enclosed landscaped garden. There is a lawn area, rock garden and patio, with patio furniture. You will find a sun room with views over the gardens and Loch Goil. This benefits from the sun until it dips behind the mountains of Beinn Bheula and Beinn Lochain to the west. The large 22 foot sitting room has an exposed brick wall, which is an attractive feature, as well as a multi-fuel stove and dining area. You will also find a modern fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, a spacious shower room and a utility room. You are hiring the whole cottage I live in Lochgoilhead and will be available to you during your stay if you have any question or need any help Lochgoilhead sits at the head of the fjord type Loch Goil within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Considered to be one of the most scenic areas in beautiful Argyll. You reach the village via single track roads through Hells Glen or Glen Mhor. Easy to reach being just over one hour from Glasgow. The village has a Post Office/Shop and a Costcutter market. The Goil Inn is open for drinks and meals and has entertainment most weekends. Hire boats locally. This is a superb walking area and is rich in wildlife. A good base to explore Inveraray, Oban and Glencoe. If you are new to Scotland, this is Scotland of the travel posters. This is a place people fall in love with. You can arrive by bus from Helensburgh or Dunoon. The stop is across the road from the cottage.
