Breathe Alpine air and get grounded

After very successful airbnb listing near Milan we have now decided to go bigger and have bought this beautiful mountain house in the much under-appreciated Valtellina valley. It sits right at the base of a 2400m mountain of the Orobic Alps and has gorgeous views of the Rhetic Alps opposite towards the small town of Berbenno. Rooms are simple and have very basic comfort. Fast WiFi is available. You can use your own fully-furnished kitchen and choose between a bath with a shower or bath tub. Parking is available at 50m from the house. This is a mountainous area and our entrance is rather a challenge for most drivers. We are constantly doing up our garden which already features beautiful bushes and plenty of roses. Herbal remedies are to follow. There are areas for sunbathing, for reading or simply dreaming. The garden leads onto a walking path all the way up to the top of this mountain range and is half surrounded by the woods. The rooms are quite cool and temperatures rarely exceed 23 degrees both inside and out. The calls of birds reign, a church in the distance from a neighbouring village. At some 10 minutes you reach the Valtellina walking path that takes you from Lake Como in the west to Bormio in the east. It is 114km long and we are at km 20 from Lake Como which can be reached by car in about 25 minutes. Bormio and Livigno take a little longer. You will find all the local attractions on www dot valtellina dot it. You have access to the garden, kitchen, living room, bathroom, your room. We have a long history of guests staying at our house over time and we have met many friendly people through airbnb. Hospitality is big on our minds and we will do everything to make your stay as agreeable as possible. Manuela also offers fascial (read this right!) treatment to improve posture and reduce muscle and bone pain. She is also specialized in vitamins and minerals. Please write a separate request for it since you might need to bring lab work for that. Here time is relative and stress is a remote construct. You will always get a smile from people in the street. There are cafès at a 10-min walk in either direction. A cash mashine, pharmacy and small shop are all in the center of the village at the same distance or in the neighbouring village of Fusine. You can choose to walk high up in the mountains or stay in the plain by the river. The only road that goes through the valley is a 2-minute drive away but you won't hear the traffic. You can find shopping areas in nearby Morbegno or Sondrio that both take about 15 minutes to reach. The nearest train station is Berbenno or Sondrio. We can pick you up by car if you wish. There are fabulous places of regional cuisine nearby and we will tell you all about them once you have arrived. The red train in Tirano is a must if you want to go to Switzerland as are the Passo San Marco at 2000m and the bridge crossing theTartano valley and the absolutely insane Fly Emotion experience in Albaredo. There is plenty to do so prepare to stay a little longer :-) This is an old house which will be done up later this year. It is clean but has old heating units and rooms have less-than-white walls. We are next to the wood so insects might come in. Our sweet dog Kallisto is friendly with everyone. Let us know in advance if you are afraid of dogs or if you want to bring your pet.
