Comfortable Victorian Townhouse

Our home is welcoming and comfortable, only 25 miles from Glasgow, it's a great base for tourists and visitors. The great transport links allow for easy access to the local airports and railway network and it's easy to reach all of Scotland from here Built in the 1880s our house is a great blend of the modern and period design. There's a very large garden to relax in and if guests are inclined to they can spend the night in our amazing bell tent with a full size double bed. It really is ridiculously relaxing. Just let me know in advance and I'll make sure it's ready. Back in the house there are 2 double bedrooms on offer which are both tastefully decorated and very comfy. The lounge has a large LCD TV, Apple TV, surround Hi-Fi and a huge selection of music, books and movies. And so you can stay in touch with friends and family there's also wi-fi. The guests will have full access to a shared bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, wi-fi and full multimedia system. In the summer we normally eat out on the patio and occasionally do outdoor movies. Please note, the cost of the room is for either single or double occupancy. If you want 2 rooms then the additional person charge applies. We're here to help and if guests need collecting from either Glasgow or Prestwick airport I can do so for the cost of the fuel and if given notice. I can also be persuaded to cook (for a small contribution to cover the cost of the food) or guests can do their own thing in our well equipped kitchen. As this is our home we're there when the guests are but will understand if more privacy is required. If you need anything or have any requirements please let us know and we'll do what we can to help. Dalry is a great place for using as a base to explore Ayrshire, Arran and Glasgow. There a number of great low level walks and we're really close to the coast. For bird lovers, Lochwinnich is about 15 minutes away, and along with the RSPB centre there's a country park where you can hire bikes. Guests can also take out day membership of our local gym. Dalry is a short distance from Glasgow & Prestwick airports. The Ardrossan to Arran ferry is nearby as is the Troon to Ireland ferry. Dalry is on the main Glasgow to Ayr or Largs railway. There is a good regular bus service to all main towns and cities. The price we charge is for the use of of the room for either one or two people (couples only) sharing. If you wish to use the second room an additional charge of £20 per person will apply. We offer a basic uncooked breakfast. If you want a cooked breakfast let us know in advance and we'll try and accommodate. We charge a small amount to cover the cost of provisions. We have a friendly Labrador Retriever called Jasper, so if you're allergic to dogs our home isn't for you. He is great around strangers but not so fond of other dogs.
