Clean, bright, open house with a rustic feel! Our house is part log cabin, part board & batten. Located 1 mile from Interstate 75, our home sits adjacent to the Smithsonian-affiliate Museum of Appalachia. We offer a complimentary self-guided tour of the Museum for any of our guests. In addition to a private upstairs bedroom & bathroom, we welcome guests to enjoy our wrap-around porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. Plenty of breakfast & snack items abound for all guests! At the very least, pastries & other breakfast goodies will be available every morning. If we're free, we often end up cooking full breakfasts for our guests. Your room is upstairs and is spacious with plenty of natural light. The queen size bed is accented with primitive antiques throughout the room. The private bath is six steps down the hall and has a combination tub/shower. The upstairs area of the house is private, so you won't encounter us or anyone else while upstairs. In addition to a private upstairs bedroom & bathroom, we welcome guests to enjoy our wrap-around porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. We offer 2 parking spaces for our guests. Host enjoys interaction with guests as much or little as you want. Host is available to answer questions, if needed. We don't have any pets. However, our Museum is home to several peacocks. They keep to themselves, but if you would like to feed them, they'll enjoy it. For this reason we don’t allow pets.
