L'Escale, guesthouse on the River Dordogne

L’Escale is a friendly, relaxed, family run guest house ideally situated on the southern bank of the Dordogne River, next to a beautiful 19th century sandstone bridge. 45 mins drive from Bergerac airport, 25 mins from Sarlat and a short walk from the charming village of Siorac-en-Périgord, in the historical and breathtaking Périgord Noir region of the Dordogne. With the bonus of a private carpark, fully licensed bar and covered terrace - come and enjoy our breathtaking views over the River. Our USP is our location, being right on the riverbank with easy access to the river and our breathtaking views of the Dordogne River and valley makes us quite unique. Our bar and restaurant are closed on Mondays but apart from that we are around to offer any help or advice. We have maps of the area and a large amount of publicity on lots of the attractions in the area. Although we strongly advise having a car to visit all the wonderful attractions in the area, taxis can be hired but be warned - they are expensive and difficult to arrange in the evenings !! Siorac-en-Périgord has a small railway station which is a 10 minute walk from L'Escale but our main junction is at Le Buisson du Cadouin which is a 10 minute drive away. There is a Taxe de séjour of 0,50 Euro per adult per night. Breakfast is 8,50 Euro per person and is served either on the terrace or in the bar from 08h00 - 10h00. You can confirm if you'd like to have breakfast when you arrive.
