Come and relax at our place! Experience the best of beach-side living, and the comfort of a well appointed home with sunny aspect and views to the water. Walk to the beach, park and cafes. 5min drive to Zoo or MOTAT, 15mins drive to city. You will love it! This is a sunny, open-plan, recently remodelled family home. Decks wrap the living spaces for easy indoor-outdoor flow. IN THE AREA It is a 2 minute walk to the lovely Point Chevalier beach - the best inner-city beach for a sunset. There is a boat ramp at the sailing club end of the street. Cafes are close by and a wonderful children's park is only 5-7 minutes walk away at Coyle Park. Local shops and amenities are a short drive/ bus ride down Pt Chevalier Road (approx 20 mins to walk). This includes a library, petrol stations, McDonald's, KFC, supermarket, bars and restaurants, chemist and a bank. OUR HOME Our 4 or 5 bedroom home consists of: - 1 master bedroom (king) with ensuite and sliding doors to rear patio area - Three single bedrooms or two singles and a twin. - There is also a playroom which can be closed of with barn-style sliders and has two fold out single beds which we provide proper mattresses for. This room also has a sliding door onto the rear patio area. - Open-plan kitchen/ dining and lounge make it a social and relaxed home opening to the decks - The kitchen is well appointed with two ovens, a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and an all important coffee machine. - TV, Apple TV, Netflix and internet access - Stay cool in summer and warm in winter with ducted central heating/cooling throughout. - Two off-street car parks - Fully fenced section - Outside seating / dining areas and a gas BBQ The full house and section. We would be available by phone or email at any time. Point Chevalier is one of auckland's best suburbs - and our favourite! We love it because it's so close to the city but feels miles away because it's on it's own peninsular surrounded by water. It is the only city beach facing west to catch beautiful sunsets which makes it a popular choice during the summer months. If you have children, like we do, it's a short stroll to either Coyle Park or Walker Park for excellent playgrounds. Just one minute's walk from our house is the sailing club where wind surfers and kite surfers gather when the wind is right, while the beach (2 minute's walk from our house) is popular with stand up paddle boarders. The surf shop around the corner will point you to the contacts for hiring boards and equipment for these activities along with lessons. There is quite often a van and trailer down at the sailing club with equipment ready to hire. The Auckland Zoo and the Museum of Transport and Technology is a short (less than 5 minute's) drive away (you could walk there). They make a great day out. If you want to dine out Auckland's popular and much-loved Ponsonby Rd and neighbouring Jervois Rd are just a short drive away. The city centre has pockets of restaurants in areas such as Fort Lane (near Sky City), the waterfront: Wynyard Quarter, Viaduct and Britomart. There is convenient bus access available from Point Chevalier Road. The outer link bus to the city comes every 15 minutes in both directions (catch this bus from the corner of Meola and Point Chevalier Road) You can access the North Western motorway from close to Point Chevalier shops.
