*Due to Covid cancellation house available for Christmas" Fully refurbished farm house (completed December 2017) in the centre of Pettneu am Arlberg which is a village 6 km from the world famous St.Anton. It is linked by a regular ski bus throughout the ski season and a summer service is also available. Whether skiing in the winter or biking and hiking in the summer this comfortable house with 150 sqm of personal accommodation plus shared ski/bike room and parking. The house was built in 1927 and is made of wood inside and out. It was completely renovated in the summer of 2017 with much care taken to maintain the traditional exterior and the internal character while making it comfortable and livable for a modern family. The available accommodation is arranged over 2 floors with the first floor containing the living space with bathroom, well appointed modern kitchen, Stube/dining room and television room (with cable, smart TV and Bose sound system). The Second floor has the 4 double bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 8 people and 2 bathrooms (1 with bath/shower, 1 with shower). The bedrooms all have wooden wardrobes and solid oak bespoke beds with luxury bed linen and feather duvet's (microfibre duvet's and pillows available upon request). There is a heated ski room in the cellar with boot driers and ski racks and drying/hanging facilities in the boiler room to dry any wet clothes in winter or summer. There is also a washer and drier available. There is a permanent residents in a separate apartments in the basement and occasionally guests in the attic apartment. They have their own access but do share the car parking, ski room and washing machine. Covered car parking for 2 cars, ski room, boiler room, laundry facilities, sunny garden and garden tables and benches, BBQ, hammock. Private access to Guests living space via external stairs and sun room, shared access via ski room or through the barn from the car parking. Keys will be left in a key safe by the front door if guests are happy with this and a personal greeting can be arranged in advance if preferred. The Hausmeister is available in emergencies and we are on the end of the phone at any time. The house is centrally located in the village 50m from the ski bus, a 3 minute walk to the supermarket and a 5 minute walk to the bakery and sports shop. The village of Pettneu is a traditional old alpine village dating back over 600 years, located on the Northern side of the wide valley it is very sunny and limited building has meant it has kept it's traditional feel. It is the ideal place for families who want the amazing skiing and summer activities of the Arlberg ski-area and a traditional village setting. Follow the link below to see some of the summer tourist hiking and biking trails suitable for varying ages and abilities: Skis, mountain bikes, e-bikes are all available to hire in the village or in St.Anton. In the village there are a number of restaurants and hotels offering dining ranging from burgers and pizzas to traditional Tyrolean to modern European or just a coffee and croissant in the bakery. Behind the house there is a lit path to the Almfrieden which is a farm approximately 300m above the village. In the winter and summer one can walk up and they serve food wine and beer. During the winter you can toboggan down finishing 150m from our house. This is always a fun and memorable evening's entertainment. The free ski bus runs every 15 minutes during the season and takes you to the Nassereinbahn skilift in St Anton in only 10 minutes. It runs all day and will bring you home in the evening. During the summer the buses still run but on a summer timetable and should be checked. There are timetables in the house to help you plan your day. To get to Pettneu you can fly to (Closest first): Innsbruck, Friedichshafen, Memmingen, Zurich or Munich. Trains or buses are readily available from Zurich and Innsbruck (just ask and we can send you timetables). Car hire is available at all of the airports. St Anton Hauptbahnhof (station) is on the main Zurich-Vienna train line and there is a bus that runs from there to Pettneu or taxis are usually available but can be pre-booked. If you have any questions about getting here just get in touch. The house is modern inside with free high speed wifi and routers on both floors, Hi-FI in the Stube/dining room and television room. The kitchen has an oven, hob, seperate microwave/combi oven, breakfast table and seating, fridge freezer. Crockery and cutlery for 10 and ample cooking pans for a weeks stay. There are also 2 coffee machines (1 N'espresso capsules and one traditional filter machine). Towels and bedding are provided. The local tourist tax of €3.00 per guest aged 15 and over per night will be collected separately in cash . This helps to pay for the tourist bus service/ski bus and the Sommerkarte in the summer and is compulsory in the area.
