A first floor flat in Wivenhoe with double bedroom, lounge, bathroom and kitchen. Sofa bed for one extra smallish person in the lounge. Plenty of parking behind the flat and unlimited broadband. A shop opposite, a pub and bus stop where the flat is, and lots of other pubs and shops nearby. Short walk to Essex University, 3 miles to Colchester and other villages nearby. Nice to walk down to the water and have a drink in the Rose & Crown looking at the boats in the river. A one bedroom flat with private parking. A good sized bedroom, king size bed, with bedding and towels. Lounge diner with sofa, sofa bed ( suit child or small adult) table, chairs, flatscreen smart tv and unlimited internet. Fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, microwave, fridge, oven and hob. All the usual kitchen utensils so you can prepare your own meals if you wish or visit the excellent local pubs and restaurants. Bathroom with bath and over bath shower. Outside open lawn area shared with the other flats. Good sized parking area. The whole flat is yours alone to use for your stay with private access. There is a key safe by the front door so when you get the code you have flexibility to arrive in your own time from 4pm. I am available by message/text for any questions. I live in Colchester 3 miles away so can pop over if need be. It is a quiet block of six privately owned flats. You have the flat to yourself and the neighbours are quiet. Next door is the Horse & Groom pub that offers food and an outside space to sit in the garden. Opposite is a post office and general store for food, drink and odd bits and pieces. Very handy. Bus stop opposite and up the road. It’s nice to be dropped off outside the flat after a trip to Colchester. A short walk up the road is a small supermarket, chemist, and a great fish & chip shop etc. A good spot for the university or to get to know Wivenhoe village and surrounding area. Wivenhoe has beautiful walks along the River Colne. 'Wivenhoe Ferry', when operating in the summer, can take you to Rowhedge or Fingringhoe, both small rural villages. Lower down in Wivenhoe is the Deli & Tudor Tea room on the High Street near the waterside. Lovely deli and the cafe does light meals and breakfast with vegetarian options. I am told it takes 25 minutes to walk to the other side of Wivenhoe from the flat although I have not timed it myself. I guess it depends on how fast you walk. :-) The flat is directly on a bus route to Colchester (Britains oldest recorded town), and Essex University is a short walk away. Easy to drive around the area, private parking behind the flats. There is a train station in lower Wivenhoe and two in Colchester with easy access to London. Walking distance to local shops and pubs. The flat is on the first floor and a friendly village pub next door. 'Visit Colchester' site has up to date details of what to see locally. The TV has free view, it is a smart tv and you can log into your own Netflix account if you have one for movies and box sets etc. We leave some bits and bobs of long life food in the cupboard but not specifically breakfast food. Do help yourself and if you buy something excess to your requirements then please leave it for the next guest. Thank you.
