Sunny and Spacious Lake House on Rainbow Point

Our comfortable holiday home is close to Taupo centre and 1 minute walk down a lane to the lake front at 2 Mile Bay Reserve and boat ramp. You’ll love our place because of the space, location and sun. Our place is good for families as it is spread over two levels. It has a lovely garden for sitting and playing flowing out of the living area. The house is 75 minutes scenic drive to the Whakapapa Ski Field. The house is ideal for one or two families. The downstairs sleeps 4 with a king bedroom a twin bedroom and full bathroom. Upstairs has a queen bedroom a double bedroom and a single bedroom. There is an upstairs bathroom. There is also a deck on this level with views. The double bedrooms look out to the lake and greenery beyond. The house is north facing with all day sun. The garden is lovely and fully fenced for children and dogs. There is a lot of heating and electric blankets. There is a big garage with remote control. You can use the whole house and garden. We have someone managing the house that is available on her mobile throughout your stay. The house is a 200 m walk along the lake to the Sailing Club where you can have coffee, drinks and wonderful pizzas. A great family venue. There is also a local diary, English Style Pub and fish & chip shop. There is a 5 mile cycle way suitable for adults and children along the lake front all the way from the town to past 5 mile bay and goes directly near this house. Taupo is also great to ski from . It is 75 minutes to the top of the road at Whakapapa ski field on Ruapehu. There is a lovely heat pump in the house and heaters in all rooms so you will return to a warm house and will be on for your arrival. There is a remote for the garage. You ideally need a car from this location but another option is a bus to town from the corner ( 200 m walk) or walk/ cycle to town.... 3 km away. There is a large boat ramp 400 m from the house with lots of parking for the car and trailer while out boating. The boat can be left on the grass outside the property while you are staying. Just make sure it is on the grass not blocking the footpath.
