Sandy Spring is in a great location! You can walk to just about everything in Port Austin. The property is large with plenty of parking. The 3 bedroom/2 full bathroom house is newly renovated and cheerfully decorated with casual, modern furniture. Tiki bar in the garage. Great spot for vacationing or also for windmill workers working in the area. MIN rental is 7 days. Short walk or drive to Port Austin Kayak to kayak to Turnip Rock, or walk to the Saturday Farmers Market in the summer. Outdoor deck, firepit, screened tiki bar in the garage, washer/dryer, wifi, cable TV, outside speakers, beach toys, hammock, gas grill. Complete house and grounds. Port Austin is located at the tip of the "Thumb" about 2hrs north of Detroit (3hrs from Detroit airport, 2hrs from Flint Airport). It is a port town located on Lake Huron. There are fishing charters available from Port Austin and Grindstone City. Great sandy beaches in Port Austin and the drive to Caseville. Nice breakwall to fish or watch the sunrise or sunset. Port Austin has one of the best farmers markets in the state on SATs from Memorial Weekend to late SEP. It also has a great 4th of July parade, car shows, bocce ball tournaments and is a great spot to relax and enjoy the fresh breeze, sound of the waves and spectacular view of the stars at night. You can walk to most places in Port Austin from here. Port Crescent state park is only 2 miles away, Caseville is about a 15min drive, Grindstone City is about 5-10 min drive, and Bad Axe is about 20 min drive. There you will find a super Wal-Mart and other shops/restaurants in Bad Axe. There is a bulletin board with more info on local restaurants and things to do in the area.
