Quirky, invitingly comfy, spacious & artsy room.
IMPORTANT! In compliance with current regulations regarding Covid 19: Please comply with these standards, help keep the Rhythm Hut and yourselves safe. With respect. Take care. The Rhythm Hut is a not-for-profit music venue, drumming school, and community space. Your room is located upstairs, which is the shared space for the live-in work exchange volunteers that make everything possible. The venue is downstairs and accessed separately, so you don't have to worry about having a party or drums right outside your door. The room itself was once dedicated to our resident artist; it has a cosy, creative feel to it and plenty of space to work. The room has a bunk bed; double below & single on top. There is a sink and mirror in the room, with a shared bathroom just across the hall. There is a computer desk; small personal fridge & a lush armchair to relax in. Also tea, coffee, sugar & a kettle for personal use in the room. Kick back in your room, or come out and experience all that the communal space has to offer. Relax and socialise amidst local artwork on the beautifully decorated deck, hang out in the garden, or curl up to read in our extensive library. The shared kitchen is the heart of the household; please feel free to cook up your own food here. We're not going to lie - the house is a lovely old 1930's rustic home. Cosy, friendly, and a little worn. Although different parts of the house are well used and loved, and filled with creative character, we aim to give you a comfortable, warm welcoming stay. Your home away from home! Extra floor mattress may be available upon request in advance(subject to availability). Extra guests charged at $15 per night. **Note: If you would rather have a private bathroom, check out our other listing. We have a larger, more private room with a connected bathroom for only $20 more.** Guests are welcome to explore the space as they wish. Cook up a meal in the communal kitchen, read a book in the library space, have a play on one of our many musical instruments, or relax in the garden. If you would like to see the venue space downstairs, ask one of the volunteers to give you a tour. The shared bathroom upstairs includes a shower, sink, and toilet. Extra toilets are available downstairs in the music venue space for when the one upstairs is occupied. Space is available in our car park for guests with vehicles. We are a very friendly and chilled out bunch! There is always someone around, busy setting up or relaxing. The space is blessed with a constant flow of friendly community members and travellers from all over the world, and we LOVE to meet new people! PLEASE NOTE: This is a shared house in a community space, not a quiet, private BNB. Suits all, social, friendly travellers looking for an affordable and unique stay. For musicians and music lovers, it's nothing short of a dream come true. Gosford is officially a city. It feels more like a town. In general it's rather quiet. Shops, hospital, train/bus station all within a short walking distance. We're a 3 minute walk from Gosford train station, Woolworths, chemists, banks etc Guests with a vehicle can park in our carpark, in the commuter lot across the street, or on the street after hours. This is a music school and live music venue!! Classes are held down in the venue space and usually can't be heard from your room, but with the occasional band practice and influx of students, silence cannot be guaranteed before 10pm. Occupants tend to be very respectful with noise levels at night. Most weeknights involve drumming classes, which all end by 9.15pm or earlier. Loud event music is cut off before 10pm weeknights and midnight weekends. Your private space will be fully respected by everybody; however, do be prepared to encounter new friends out in the communal area.
