Allora is the Italian word for affection and fittingly named when the house was built by JD Connolly and offered as a gift from the owner to his future wife as an engagement present. A good fit for business, families, or group travel. A place for relaxing, business meetings, or to relax with friends. There is a door out to the garden that you can enjoy during your stay, get to your car, or the outside world. Please note Allora house does not provide breakfast, though there is a well-equipped kitchenette and a supermarket a block away from us. The kitchenette is modern and well-appointed, with a microwave, sink, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, cutlery, crockery, full-size fridge, cutting board, cupboard storage for your groceries, knives, bottle opener, salad bowl, etc to enjoy making your meals and your stay. The kitchenette and bathroom also can be accessed from the shared space. We have restored the area with handmade jarrah doors, high ceilings, antique furniture from the period 1900 to 1940s styles. The guest enjoys the fully renovated 1940s area of 3 queen size bedrooms. all connected to the shared lounge and dining room, kitchenette, and bathroom. Each bedroom has a flat-screen TV, reverse cycle air conditioning, and modern ensemble bed to accompany restored furniture sympathetic to the period of the house. We have been fortunate, sourcing furniture that spent its life in the Goldfields. Our linen is Australian-made a sustainably produced. Our lounge/dining area has a chaise lounge, lounge suite, full-size TV and sound system, coffee table, and a dining table with 4 chairs. The lounge/dining area overlooks the garden, we have a wide veranda opening onto a sheltered garden. We have heritage plants, seasonal herbs, and vegetables to enjoy as a backdrop. Lovely to watch the changes of season within the garden. Relaxing in antique folding chairs and garden benches. Making your visit more comfortable we have free wifi, maps of our area, and great tips! Allora House is a block from the Railway Station and 2 blocks from the main street, supermarkets and visitors centre. With many restaurants and cafes within a short easy walk. Quiet, close to the main street and restaurants. Taxis are available in town. Walking to restaurants, main street, and most attractions is comfortable. There is a public town bus. Rental cars are available for out of town experiences and things further afield.
