This mud brick house is set on 5 part grassed / part bush acres and has a wonderful character and warmth about it. Situated only 4 minutes out of Daylesford you will enjoy a very peaceful sleep and wake up to kangaroos and birdlife outside. Bedlinen and towels supplied. Mineral springs, Cidery , Chocolate mill, Mt Franklin, Glenlyon village are all within a few minutes of the villa with attractions such as Sunday market, mill market , convent gallery, hotels, restaurants and specialty shops. You will enjoy having two seperate living areas with television and DVD in both. The morning sun area is at rear of house where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee. The front of the house is a great place to sit in the afternoon , watching your children run around on the grassed areas or keeping an eye out for kangaroos munching the grass or echidnas and birdlife. There are childrens' games in drawer of coffee table plus outside games stored in laundry. Dishwasher in kitchen. The house has three seperate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living area, laundry.Carport for 1 car at back door and another two spaces in the rear carport. There are tracks up into the bush and leading to a country lane for those wanting to walk or ride mountain bikes. The full round the block walk is about 4.5 km and you may see kangaroos and wallabies and even the occasional koala. There are some testing hills in the Kangaroo Drive section and you will need a degree of fitness to walk the whole distance, should take around 1.2 hrs, mountain bikers will enjoy the circuit. Irvings lane has a couple of muddy sections after rain and rough areas not suitable for non 4wd vehicles although council has recently carried out repairs and lane is a lot more usable. Wi-fi is available, just ask me for password if you need to access it, I am happy to show guest short cuts and walking track entry points to Irvings lane and Kangaroo Drive. My motorised firewood buggy is also popular with guest children and I am always happy to take them for a ride if they have old clothes on. Directions to lakes, places of interest, markets, galleries, wineries, reservoirs and fishing locations, wildlife parks, golf courses etc This area is known as the mineral water centre of Victoria and there are many springs to visit. maps available at tourist centre. Daylesford has also become known for its scenic beauty, restaurants, galleries, markets, wineries, cidery, lavender farm, Cricket Willow, fishing spots, healthy living, community events such as New Years Eve parade, New years day Glenlyn Sports Day event, Chillout festival, Swiss Italian festa,historic buildings, Wombat hill gardens etc. There are taxis available if you intend going out for a drink just ask Bruce for Daylesford taxi service number. Winery tours are available, see information folder at villa or information centre. Electric bike hire available in town.
