Hensong Nest is a sweet 2-person trailer located just south of Oakland, CA with easy access to transportation - Uber/Lyft access, 1 mile from Bay Area Rapid Transit System (BART), close to Oakland International Airport and Hayward AMTRAK station, San Ramon, Dublin, and Pleasanton business parks, the AMMA Center, and Cal State East Bay. You’ll love the coziness and privacy of our location with our hens and garden. A true retreat and the perfect Home Base. Hensong Nest is a sparkly, clean, modern travel trailer with a queen-sized, memory foam mattress, a dinette/working desk, an efficiency kitchen with refrigerator and microwave, and a TV with DVD and Netflix. Wifi and cell signals (for most carriers) are strong. There is air-conditioning and heat. The guest bathroom is a very short walk across the property at the back of the main house and is equipped with shower and essentials. The guest bathroom is accessed directly through the back door (you don't need to walk through the rest of the house). There are stairs and uneven surfaces throughout the property. The trailer and bathroom are not accessible for wheelchairs or walkers. DON'T SKIP THIS PART.....Important Details; they're riveting!: ***NO SMOKING OR VAPING IS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY - INSIDE OR OUTSIDE*** The Nest is not child-proofed and we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12. For the safety of the animals on the property and your child, a minor child (under 18 years of age) is never allowed to stay in the trailer or on the property by his or herself and the child must be supervised by you at all times. Because of the health and safety needs of the hens and dog on our property, we also cannot accommodate guests traveling with animals. Our own dog has been in the trailer, so if you have a dog allergy this may not be the location for you. We trust that you will find another great Airbnb location nearby if you have children, allergies, or an animal with you. We are a "scent sensitive" property. Because many of our guests are sensitive to scents, we ask you to be careful about use of scented products and heating foods with strong odors in The Nest and the bathroom Guest have access to Hensong Nest and to the bath in the main house. The Nest and the bathroom have a numeric key pad set up with a unique code before your arrival. You have access to the garden ( we share the space ) and we encourage you to use it! It's a beautiful view and a great place for meditation, yoga, as well as a great place to drink your coffee or have a snack. We are here to help and are respectful of your privacy. We must meet you upon your arrival to explain the logistics of the trailer systems. We may or may not be home in the main house at all times, but we are available by cell phone at any time. The Nest has its own access through a side gate. We are happy to help with any recommendations for area sights - there are several listed in the House Rules in The Nest. We are away from the freeway and close to rural areas, which makes the property peaceful, quiet. But it is a neighborhood with normal neighborhood noises and civilization is close by. Within five minutes in either direction you have access to any kind of establishment you may need. We are easily accessible by car, Uber, Lyft; one mile from the Castro Valley BART station and a transbay bus stop is three houses from our home. We have parking for one guest car in our driveway. Street parking is also available. The “workings” of The Nest are separated by a fence – to protect both these and you. Guests are free to chat with the chickens. We’ll introduce you when you arrive and share some hen safety precautions. Foxy, our resident pup is very friendly and will probably try to get you to pet her. If you don’t like dogs, you can ignore her. HELPFUL TIP: If you are new to Airbnb, and have not yet completed your profile, it is highly recommended by both Airbnb and us, that you do. If this is not completed prior to contacting us, then take the time to introduce yourself in your first contact message when sending us a booking request and we'll guide you through the profile completion process. We like to know who is coming to our Nest. If a couple is coming, then please included some wonderful things about your traveling companion as well as their FULL name. ITEMS TO NOTE: * It is against Airbnb rules to make a reservation for someone else under your account and we uphold this rule. There’s an easy link to refer a person to create their own account. *If anything breaks, spills, stains please let us know. Substantial damage to property or linens that are stained beyond repair (ie: blood stains which are a biohazard) will be charged against the security deposit (as described on your booking receipt).
