Gumpy by the Sea

'Gumpy by the Sea' is a unique , cosy, and self-contained space situated behind the owners' residence. An ambient coastal atmosphere is enhanced by combining nature and art. Sea views can be enjoyed, and there is just a 5 min. walk to beach. 'Barby' in the native garden; listen to the birds, and sit around the fire pit (or chiminea) at night. Then cocoon yourself within the compact space, listening to the sound of the ocean! Suited to the solo traveller or quiet couple. Comfortable, colourful and quirky inside; while linking to the coastal outdoors by a deck and beautiful native garden that you are welcome to enjoy. The Gumpy is delightfully compact - thus some indoor cooking facilities and some outdoor on the deck ( 2 stove tops). The Gumpy itself ( a separate space to the owners residence) can be accessed from a red gate on the right hand side of house. Host can assist with any queries , (at a Covid safe distance ) but are also quite private - thus intend to respect your privacy. The beach and surrounds are largely untouched- a feel of nature abounds! A few houses and shacks. One can explore nearby coastal areas, tracks and cliffs by foot. People fish off the beach and rocks. Safe swimming. Well known as a wind surfers beach. Other areas of Low head include the light house, Maritime museum and Pilot station, Penguin Tour; and George Town is just 8 kilometres away-providing cafes, supermarket and hotels etc. Bus from Launceston to George town. Need a car from there. Please ensure that the correct number of guests is booked, so that preparations can be made accordingly. -Internet access is intermittent here, ( no Wi-Fi provided by host) - Only booked guests are to be on the property. - no third party bookings accepted
