This stylish, cosy studio apartment, is situated within the grounds of a quiet residential home and within close proximity to the ruins of Buchanan castle The kitchenette comprises of a fridge/freezer , microwave oven, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster The sleeping area within the studio comprises of a comfortable king size bed and a sofa bed, suitable for children En suite facility of a shower room with complimentary shampoo, conditioner , body wash and towels provided There is complimentary tea and coffee , with a sweet treat of either tablet or biscuits during your stay, along with a light continental breakfast of cereal and croissants , homemade jam , butter and milk , provided on the first morning only This will be in your room on arrival. The Wee Loft is dog friendly for one well behaved dog at a time , no extra charge (bowl, snack, towel and blanket provided). Please inform us if bringing your pet, in order for us to leave out all of the above Free WIFI is provided. DVD ‘s and some games in tv unit Tap water is beautiful, fresh, and safe to drink. The Wee Loft studio is situated above a separate garage building within the grounds of Treetops . The locked box is at the left hand side of the door to the building , with the keys for the downstairs door and studio door. The pin for the lock box is regularly changed and will be provided prior to arrival Arrangements are made for guests to independently access the Wee Loft, but the owners will be available for any questions or assistance most of the time. There is an information booklet that provides local recommendations. The Wee Loft is situated within the quiet residential area of Buchanan Castle Estate, which is a 15/20 minute walk through lovely woodland into the village of Drymen. The shores of Loch Lomond are a short drive away Directions: From Glasgow and M8 Motoroway Continue on the M8 and follow the signs for Glasgow Airport and Erskine Bridge. Pass the Glasgow Airport exit and continue towards the Erskine Bridge and take the exit. Cross the bridge and follow signs for Dumbarton and Balloch. Continue on the A82 and follow the signs for Balloch. At the roundabout junction with the A811 head into Balloch, and continue through the town on the A811 and follow the signs for Stirling. Continue through the village of Gartocharn and after about three miles you reach the T junction with the A809. Turn left onto the A809 towards Drymen. You pass over a small bridge with a house on the right hand side, continue another 300 yards and you see two white pillars with the signs Buchanan Castle Estate and Buchanan Castle Golf Club. Turn left into this private road, and continue for about half a mile. Drive slowly over two large speed humps and you come to a fork in the road. Drive straight ahead at the fork. In daylight you can see the ruins of Buchanan Castle ahead. Follow the road round to the right, over some small speed humps. Treetops is the fifth house on the right with a white entrance wall, beech hedge and a ‘Treetops’ sign on a tree. Enter the driveway, the Wee Loft entrance is situated to the left side of the garage building straight ahead. The key lock box is beside the door on the left. From North of Glasgow, Milngavie and Bearsden Head towards Anniesland Cross on either the A739 from the Clydeside Expressway or the Clyde Tunnel, or the A82 from Great Western Road. Head North through Anniesland Cross following the signs for Bearsden on the A739. After about two miles you reach Canniesburn Toll, take the first exit and continue on the A739 towards Bearsden. After about one mile, you pass through Bearsden Cross and reach the junction with the A809, signposted Drymen. Follow that road for about ten miles. You pass a junction on the left for the A811 signposted Balloch, keep going straight. You pass over a small bridge with a house on the right hand side, continue another 300 yards and you see two white pillars with the signs Buchanan Castle Estate and Buchanan Castle Golf Club. From Edinburgh and Stirling Head towards Stirling on the M9. Exit at the second Stirling junction, and follow the signs for Crianlarich, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Take the A84 towards Crianlarich, after about 2 miles, pass the entrance to the Blairdrummond Safari Park and continue straight. Turn left at the next road on left, the B8075 towards Gargunnock. After another two miles there is a T junction with the A811. Turn right and follow the road for about ten miles, driving through the villages of Arnprior and Buchlyvie. At the cross roads with the A81, turn left and immediately right, continuing on the A811 signposted Drymen. Continue and pass two roads to the right signposted Drymen. After a sharp right hand bend, there is two white pillars with the signs Buchanan Castle Estate and Buchanan Castle Golf Club. Turn right into this private road, and continue for about half a mile. From West Highland Way From either direction on the West Highland Way, enter the village of Drymen. The main square in the village has the Clachan pub and Winnock Hotel. With the Clachan behind you, walk south on the Main Street until you come to the Buchanan Arms Hotel on the left a short distance away. Across the road from the Buchanan Arms Hotel is a monument. Facing the monument there is a footpath about 40 yards to the left, up the side of a house, which has a walking path signposted. Take this footpath for about 10/12 minutes until you arrive into a farm yard. Turn left at the farm yard and follow the footpath until you reach a private road about 100 years downhill. Turn right on the road. Walk over two large speed humps and you come to a fork in the road. Go straight ahead at the fork. In daylight you can see the ruins of Buchanan Castle ahead.
