It is in Colombo 5 a highly residential area and is close to the warm Indian Ocean and center of Colombo. Air conditioning is available on request at an extra cost. There is a small in house cafe, serving breakfast from 8-11 and snacks and drinks thereafter to 6pm One of the safest neighborhoods in Colombo. The room is housed on the ground floor of a three storied house at the end of a quiet leafy cul de sac in central Colombo. It has a separate entrance whereby you do not have to go through the rest of the house to enter or leave. The room is cool and cozy and is equipped with wireless wifi day and night. Air conditioning is available for an extra cost. Your private bathroom has hot and cold water and a shower. The lane has a lush tropical feel to it with sightings of all kinds of beautiful birds like the paradise flycatcher, the golden oriole, woodpeckers, kingfishers, Cuckoo's etc. On occasion the grey languar monkeys can be seen jumping from tree to tree and over rooftops adding to the feeling that you are really in the tropics. It has an exercise bike. The lane is centrally located and has excellent transport facilities i.e. Cheap taxis, buses and the train stations Bambalapitiya and Narahenpita are not far. Downtown Colombo is a short taxi ride away, including the museum. The best way to get around is by tuk tuk taxi, budget taxi or bus. The Uber ap and the local Pickme ap should be downloaded onto your phone and used. Taxis are fairly cheap in Colombo. Your room has a separate entrance. You will be given a key to enter the premises. You will be able to use the cafe from 8 am. As much as they would like to. I offer a city tour for a reasonable rate. I will also accompany anyone who wants to go places in Colombo. There is easy access to all amenities like restaurants, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, banks, churches, temples, hospitals and although in the city the lane is a quiet residential cul-de-sac with a strong tropical feel. Good area for pavement walks. The Buddhist temple Isipatanaramaya which is within walking distance has beautiful paintings and a serene setting. I can recommend the local Sri Lankan restaurant, the pizza house, authentic Chinese and Thai restaurants, the Japanese restaurant, the donor kebab restaurant. There is also a Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken nearby, There are several pastry shops nearby as well serving breads and pastries that have evolved from the different nationalities that have come to this island over centuries as Sri Lankan short eats! Not far from the National Museum, cinemas, downtown, etc Plenty of cheap tuk-Tuk taxis, car taxis on call and buses. Uber, local Pickme, SLT Muve taxi aps can be downloaded onto your phone. It is cheap from my location. I will be more than happy to advise you on sights to visit in Colombo or even around Sri Lanka and arrange your transport to wherever you may want to visit. I will even accompany you on your trips in and around Colombo and suburbs if neededThe train stations Bambalapitiya and Narahenpita are not far. Airport pickup and drop can be arranged. Please ask for a quote. However it is cheaper to get a taxi from the airport lounge. The airport is small and the taxi desk is easy to find. There are banks inside the airport to change money. Room cleaning is available. There is a small inhouse cafe operational from 8 am onwards serving breakfast, Sri Lankan coffee, tea, hot chocolate, waffles, crepes, rice and curry on order. Food and drink bills must be settled after consumption. Prices are on the menu. There are paid workspaces and a meeting table at reasonable rates. Laundry: Pickup and drop can be arranged from a local laundry. This is approximately rs 600 per kg. I require that you turn off the fan and lights when you leave the room.
