Stunning Cotswolds chapel - Sleeps 10+
Situated slap bang in the middle of Malmesbury, the oldest borough in England, is Chapel House. A stunning detached five double bedroom and bathroom converted chapel, originally built in 1899. The house has numerous distinctive period features including original stained glass windows, archways, oak pillars and parquet flooring. Chapel House combines spacious living with contemporary interior design in a unique and stylish setting and is perfect for large parties to enjoy time in the Cotswolds. We fell in love with Chapel House the moment we walked in and we're delighted that all of our guests have felt the same! The main Chapel has a 25ft vaulted ceiling, full height stained glass windows and original parquet flooring. It’s furnished with numerous armchairs, velvet sofas, and an enormous dining table which can easily sit 10. For a slightly less imposing space, the snug has two comfortable sofas and a widescreen tv complete with Netflix, plus blankets to snuggle under. The kitchen is huge and complete with all mod cons including Nespresso machine. It also has a refectory style table with benches - a church pew provides extra seating. Finally, 4 of the 5 double bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and stained glass windows. There is a courtyard garden with enough seating for 10, with a barbecue and chiminea ready for you to use. Strings of circus lights and numerous potted plants and herbs help to make it a truly delightful space to spend an evening chatting with friends. Guests have access to the entire property including charming courtyard garden complete with seating, chiminea, barbecue and fairy lights. We’ll be on hand to meet you when you arrive and give you a quick tour of the house. After this point we can be reached at any time on the phone. Malmesbury is a small market town and everything in it can be easily reached on foot. However a car is useful for exploring the surrounding gorgeous Cotswolds. For non drivers, we are a 25 minute taxi from Chippenham train station, which is on the London - Bristol main line, and can recommend numerous wonderful pubs, restaurants and days out close to town.
