If you're looking for utter peace and quiet with only bird song breaking the silence, this could be the rural retreat for you. However being “away from it all” doesn’t mean forgoing modern comforts such as super-fast broadband, flat screen TV and a squashy sofa (Website hidden by Airbnb) This recently completed loft conversion sits privately next to the main house. The open plan property is light and airy. There is a hand made Kitchen with dishwasher and table and chairs. The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and en-suite Shower WC & sink. The private balcony has a table & chairs and is the perfect spot for an evening drink with views of the surrounding fields and mill stream. There is the Local Perrys Cider Farm with cafe and The New Inn village pub just across the fields (15 min walk). Wonderful walks & cycle paths on the doorstep. Close to many beautiful NT houses & gardens and the stunning southwest coast, with all its lovely beaches. Alternatively if you wanted to eat in; Mill Stream Loft has a chic bespoke kitchen & local provisions are available from the quality independent shops in the quaintly old-fashioned market towns of Ilminster 5-10 min drive away & Crewkerne 15-20min drive away has a Waitrose! Very near to Oxenford is the National Cycle network Route 3 of NCN the West Country Way. The 80 Mile Cycle Route around South Somerset passes through the crossroads at the entrance to Oxenford. There are a number of walks around Ilminster and in the local area including The Liberty trail, The Parratt trail and Leyland trail. Eating Out The award winning pub The Lord Poulett Arms in the beautiful village of Hinton St George, Tytherleigh Arms on the road to the lovely seaside town of Lyme Regis, & The 5 Dials at Horton a really friendly local pub serving great pub grub are all a 10 - 15 min drive away
