A relaxing hideaway in our Bath family home.

A bright, contemporary attic room with a king size bed and luxury en suite shower room, set above our 1930s family home in Bath. You will have charming views across residential Bath and easy access to its famous Georgian centre, the canal path, great local pubs and places to eat, the River Avon, cycle path and Somerset countryside beyond. Our loft en suite is quiet and very private with great views in all directions. You will feel spoiled and rested, with top quality bedding, fixtures and fittings. There are blankets and magazines provided, with fresh coffee, tea and some treats. You are welcome to use our private, enclosed front garden and swing seat. Please note, as this is an attic room the ceiling is low is some places, as shown in our pictures. The property is set off the residential cul-de-sac at the end of a tree-covered pathway. Access is via our main front door and hallway; the room and bathroom are set on their own floor at the top of the house. Please note that there are three flights of stairs to access your room and there are some low ceilings, as shown. You will have access to self check-in instructions (and a picture guide - we are number 21 and the number is on the gatepost under trees) using the key safe, but you’ll get a friendly ‘hello’ on the way in if we are around. Guests are expected wear masks between the front door and their room for everyone’s safety. Your room and public areas are thoroughly cleaned. You will not have access to our family kitchen, sorry. We do not allow guests to eat meals in the bedroom so that we can keep our space at a high standard for the benefit of future guests. Tea and coffee making facilities are available, along with small fridge. Parking cannot be 100% guaranteed, but when spaces are available, it is free and unrestricted in the road or within 100m of our house. Please park thoughtfully and at your own risk. There is also a park and ride 300 yards away. We respect our guests' privacy, so will not bother you unless you need us. But we are on hand to answer any queries or provide assistance. Just text us via the app. You will have tea and coffee making facilities in your room. A drinks fridge is provided, along with fresh milk. Plenty of information is provided about good local places to eat, that are within walking distance of the house. Newbridge, Bath, is a highly popular residential area just 1.9 miles from the Georgian centre of Bath and minutes from the Somerset countryside, Cotswold Way, River Avon, the canal marina and locks. We are very close to Bath Spa University's Newton Park campus, if you are visiting student family members, and conveniently placed for Bath Uni visits too. We are a 15 minute walk from the Royal United Hospital. There are local shops and several good cafes/restaurants within a level 1 mile of our home. The delights of Bath are within a 30 minute level walk, 12 minute direct and easy bus ride or drive to the centre. Taxis into town cost £5-7 depending on the provider. Do ask if there is any information you need ahead of your visit. We love where we live and we’re always happy to share local tips! There are several buses that will take you from the top of the road straight into Bath - central bus and train stations are around 12 minutes away - or direct to either Bath Spa or Bath University campuses. We are on the bus route to Bristol and have a direct bus route to Bristol Airport. There is limited, but free, parking on the roads around the property or at the park and ride 500 yards away. Because we are a 30 minute level walk into the centre, guests may like to take the option to walk into Bath along the canal/cycle path. A taxi ride into town is inexpensive and takes no more than 10 minutes at busy times. It costs £5-7 depending on the provider. We do not provide breakfast but encourage our guests to enjoy breakfast at one of a number of excellent (award-winning) independent local cafes or several high quality pubs, just minutes away. All of the information you need about this and other local favourite haunts is provided in your room. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in your room. Sorry, but access to the kitchen is not possible. Check in is ordinarily after 4pm. Check out is 1000 and 1100 on sleepy Sundays.
