The Mezzavalle beach in Portonovo is 7 km from the house and it is possible to reach the sea with a walk. On the Portonovo beach it is possible to buy fresh fish from a local fishermen's cooperative. Urbino is approximately 1 hour away. In the village of Varano there is a wood oven, a post office and a grocery shop where fruit, vegetables, tobacco and newspapers are also sold.
