Delightful Cornish Cottage Near the Seaside
Chandos Cottage is a delightful, charming 3 bedroom Cornish cottage, dating back to 1855. We love the area, for its people as much as the beautiful location, which is set in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, the Rame Peninsula. Millbrook is an unpretentious and laid-back village with a strong community spirit. We want Chandos to feel like a home from home. A place where you can instantly relax and start to enjoy your holiday. The cottage has a spacious, yet homely feel. The dining room is a great social space in which to gather around the large farmhouse table. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction cooker, dishwasher, double oven and microwave. The pantry is stocked with many cooking basics to help your stay be an easy one. Across the central hall is the cosy living room, in which to unwind and relax. There is a new smart television and comfy sofas to sink into, should you want to while away the evening. Upstairs, off the landing, is the family bathroom, with a shower over the bath. The bathroom is light and airy. A few more stairs and you find two spacious bedrooms, with built in wardrobes and chest of drawers. The beds are both King-size. These bedrooms flank the middle bedroom, which has 2 single beds, storage shelves and a shared bedside cabinet. The back garden is mainly laid to grass, is fully fenced and has 2 terraces. Wi-Fi is available and some rooms have an electric socket with a USB ports. There is a travel cot with mattress available upon request. For the duration of our guests' stay, we are available over the phone, via text or e-mail. We have a network of support within the village who can help with any property issues which might need attention during your stay. Nestled in a pretty valley, at the head of an inlet from The Tamar river, Millbrook is only minutes away from stunning coast line, beautiful, clean beaches and a myriad of walking and cycling opportunities. Nearby are the popular tourist towns of Kingsand and Cawsand, boasting many pubs, a lovely bakery/cafe and various water sports activities for young and old alike. Plymouth is within easy reach, using the Cremyll ferry as a pedestrian or approximately a 40 minute car journey using the Torpoint ferry. You can park up for the day, and catch the pedestrian ferry. The nearby Edgecombe Estate is a great place to walk amongst nature and enjoy fantastic views over the water towards Plymouth and some Cornwall coast. For those not travelling by car, the village is accessible by coach or train to Plymouth and then bus or taxi to Millbrook. Alternatively, you can catch a train to nearby St Germans (approximately a 20 minute drive).
