Situated in the heart of Staithes on the North Yorkshire coast, Victoria Cottage is perfect for families or groups of friends who are looking for a relaxing break by the sea. With large windows and high ceilings, this gorgeous cottage is packed with style. Dogs are also welcome! Perfectly suited to its baby pink exterior, Victoria Cottage has a quirky and unique style inside too. With dark, cladded walls and traditional wooden flooring, the open plan living, kitchen and dining area feel cosy and homely. The living area features a comfy corner sofa, leather armchair and log burner. The kitchen has wooden cabinets and matt black accessories. White brick tiles are contrasted perfectly with a statement marble print splashback. Both stylish and functional, the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster so you’ll have everything you need for your self-catering staycation. Perfect for entertaining friends and family, the dining area is located in the kitchen making it a real focus point within the house. The wooden dining table has a bench on one side and old-style wooden chairs on the other. The bathroom is modern with white brick style tiles and a spacious bath with overhead shower. Both bedrooms are welcoming and homely. Like the rest of the property, they have plenty of character. Guests have access to the full cottage. Victoria Cottage is situated behind the sweet shop and deli - Betsy and Bo. Parking can be found at either of the two long stay car parks at the top of Staithes Bank, and further details will be provided before your stay. We're always available for our guests so please don't hesitate to get in touch. Staithes is the quaint coastal hamlet which was recently named one of Britain’s most beautiful seaside villages. It has high cliffs, winding streets and mismatched cottages bursting with charm. The village is also known for its abundance of fossils which can be found along the small beach and in the cluster of rockpools. This area is nicknamed the ‘Dinosaur Coast’ as it’s packed with history. Staithes is a magnet for art and artists alike. Throughout the village you’ll find amazing painted illusions known as the ‘Painted Illusions Trail’ created by the famous artist Paul Czainski. It is also the home to the impressionist art society, known as Staithes Group, and their work can always be seen dotted around. Visit Staithes Gallery and browse the wonderful exhibits inspired by the village. Victoria Cottage is within walking distance of all that Staithes has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and Whitby. Staithes has great bus links to surrounding areas including Whitby, Sandsend, Saltburn, Middlesbrough, and Scarborough. The X4 bus runs from Middlesbrough to Whitby passing Staithes Lane End making it very accessible to other desired bays. The closest train stations are located in Saltburn and Whitby. We welcome 1 small, well behaved dog. Due to the nature of Staithes location, mobile phone signal can be intermittent depending on your mobile phone service provider. WiFi is however provided.
