"Sandcastles" beach house at Fingal Heads

Walk to Tweed River. ** Please note, so that we don't upset our neighbours, we will not accept large groups, there is a strict no party policy and all noise must be kept to a minimum. Unfortunately, we can no longer accept dogs. ** From the moment you arrive, you feel an immediate sense of relaxation. A sparkling pool, bali hut with hammock, large table and wood BBQ. The front yard provides the perfect spot for kids to play while you relax on the deck. On the upper level, there is an open plan chefs kitchen/lounge/dining with a side balcony overlooking the pool, a great place for reading the morning paper and catching the morning sun or perfect for watching the sun set. Another deck opens off the lounge and kitchen which has a day bed, family size Weber Q BBQ and a large 10 seater table. Our beautiful home has two queen beds, two singles, a double sofa and two single foam mattresses (for smaller children only to be on the same level as mum and dad upstairs). Take your pick of numerous outdoor entertaining areas to relax. The two local beaches are only a minutes stroll away, Fingal Beach which is patrolled (during the summer) with beautiful white sands provides great swimming and surfing and the wonderful Dreamtime Beach is perfect for walks. The beautiful Tweed River is also a short stroll away. Close to Coolangatta Airport (12km), Kingscliff, Gold Coast themes parks and world famous surfing destinations. Sole use of entire house. We are located in Brisbane. A few days before your stay, we'll send a welcome email advising where the keys can be accessed once you arrive at Sandcastles. During your stay, we are only a phone call/AirBnB message away or our local agent will happily assist with anything you need. Fingal Head is our piece of paradise. We fell in love with the area, bought our beautiful beach house and named it "Sandcastles". There are no high rises. No chain stores. No McDonalds. There is a lovely little cafe/art gallery and a well stocked corner store that doubles as a post office. For all your shopping needs, Kingscliff is only five minutes drive away and has a large Woolworths, bottleshop, chemist, doctors and restaurants galore. There are public buses which run from the area but to explore the beautiful region, you really do need a car. We are happy to share our fishing rods, basic bikes and kayak with our guests. We also have a selection of board games, books and DVDs for you to enjoy, as well as Netflix. We have unlimited NBN internet. We generally ask that you bring your own linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels) or if you prefer, we can arrange for these to be hired for a small additional fee through a local linen hire company. For stays of two weeks or more, we are happy to include all linen free of charge. We can also arrange hire of porta cots, high chairs or anything else you require, please just ask.
