Il Santo is rented as a single villa even though it is divided into two structures that are connected by a glass corridor. The 1000's tower and the barn have been completely restored with terracotta floors and wooden beams, yet displaying the best of contemporary Italian design. The Space: The Tower Ground floor: Two spacious living rooms with large, original arched windows overlooking a beautiful valley; one twin bedroom (convertible into a double bed) with bathroom. First floor: One bedroom with double bed, fireplace and a large bathroom with double shower; one twin bedroom (convertible to double bed) with bathroom and one double bedroom with bathroom. On the first floor there is also a prefect sitting room for relaxation with views and a large fireplace. Second floor: The master bedroom with double bed, dressing room and a large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Barn Ground floor: Large fully equipped kitchen (2 ovens, microwave, large double fridge, wine fridge, 8 induction hobs, double sink, professional dishwasher); there is a large dining room table for 16-18 people; laundry room with ice machine. First floor: Two bedrooms with double bed each with private bathroom. Guest House next to the pool Small flat with single entrance, double bed, bathroom with shower, and small kitchen/living room. The Neighbourhood: Following the classic itinerary of the so-called 'via Chiantigiana', which connects Florence with Siena, you will have the opportunity to discover the many villages and hamlets that make this area unique, as well as to admire the suggestive hilly landscape made of vineyards, woods and olive groves. Following this itinerary you will meet the most important villages of Chianti such as Greve in Chianti, also known as the city of wine, with its typical medieval structure, Castellina in Chianti, ancient stronghold of Florence against Siena, Radda in Chianti, with its curious elliptical urban structure and Gaiole in Chianti, with its numerous surrounding castles. In addition to its villages and towns, Chianti is famous throughout the world for its great food and wine culture and in particular for its Chianti Classico wine. Wine, like all other products, represents the territory, culture and traditions of Chianti, where the union between man and nature remains. Among the many wineries and farms in the area you can taste the typical products of the territory: Chianti Classico, extra virgin olive oil, vinegars, cheeses and cold cuts.
