Peaceful Sanctuary with Pool 70 m to the Beach

Enjoy the beauty of unique South Golden Beach from this light filled house just a two-minute walk to the beach. Platypus is a private oasis with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large pool, a spacious verandah and two lock-up garages. South Golden Beach, the gem of the Byron Shire is only 15 minutes from Brunswick, 20 minutes from Mullumbimby and 20 minutes from Byron Bay.' The layout of the house gives privacy to guests while allowing several common entertainment areas to enjoy. This makes it ideal for families, couples and groups. Studio with ensuite and tiny kitchenette on the ground floor. The pool bedroom and a large bathroom are in the extension on the middle floor. Master bedroom with ensuite and 4th bedroom on the first floor. All bedrooms have split system air conditioning . Two bedrooms have additional ceiling fans. Living and dining area have ceiling fans. There is a laundry with washing machine dryer and iron at the back of the house. There is a hot out door shower next to the pool to wash off sand after returning from the beach. The house has its own separate nbn connection providing superfast unlimited wifi provided for free during your stay and offers a smart Tv and Telstra Tv which allows you to watch Netflix and the like through your own account. The Platypus is also pet friendly with many dog friendly beaches in the area including north of South Golden Beach. You have the entire house for yourself As hosts we want you to enjoy your stay. We provide a lock box for self check in or if you wish we will meet you on arrival to show you around and answer questions. We will be available by phone and can drop in if required . Along with the pristine beach there is a magic littoral rain forest with a nature trial starting right on the doorstep. There is a safe swimming spot in Marshall's Creek some 5 minutes by bicycle opposite the Brighton Farmers Market. There you can also have breakfast or lunch in your swimmers at the famous Yum Yum cafe.You might just start the day with an early yoga class in the community center down the road and have a great breakfast at Mrs Birdie's the local cafe on the way back home. Children can enjoy the new skate park or playground close by .Next to it adults can have a workout on the outdoor exercise equipment.Seven minutes drive away is Ocean Shores where you can stock up on groceries and explore shops. There is a bus stop right at the door step with buses taking you to Ocean Shores, Brighton Beach and Mullumbimby. We also provide bicycles to ride along the beach or on the nature trail or to ride to the farmers market. Please remember that this is a quiet neighborhood and that parties and noisy behavior are not tolerated. In regard to Byron Shire noise policy all outdoor spaces such as the front verandah and the pool area must be vacated and guests must move inside at 10pm. Thank you for your consideration.
