'Garden Cottage' New Forest

Our gorgeous garden cottage sits at the side of our house with its own private garden and separate entrance. You also have use of our garden and orchard. With a double bedroom and large living space including your own kitchen and bathroom, the accommodation is ideal for couples. We also have lots of space for a travel cot. We are in a quiet village lane just 5 minutes from the open New Forest and 30 minutes from the beach, we would love to welcome you to come and stay with us in Bickton. We have ample parking right in front of the cottage. Walking, driving or cycling is the easiest way to get around our rural local area. The cottage is semi detached from the main house and has its own private entrance and garden. The hallway leads to the main sitting area with dining table at one end and settee and television at the other. French doors open onto the patio. The bedroom and bathroom are both off this main space. The kitchen is to the right of the hallway and looks out over the front. It has a bolted door adjoining our house. We have a gated driveway and ample parking right in front of the cottage. Driving or cycling is the easiest way to get around our rural local area. There are also a number of lovely walks from the house, either across the water meadows to Fordingbridge or across the fields and up on to the forest. Within a five minute drive you can be in the open forest, and walk, cycle or just sit and enjoy the stunning views and the occasional ponies, donkeys, cows, and sometimes even pigs sauntering past. There are plenty of country pubs and lovely tea rooms. A half hour drive will take you to the beach. Avon beach, Mudeford Quay, Highcliffe beach, and Hengistbury Head are our nearest. Lymington and Keyhaven are also well worth a visit. I hope to greet you on arrival and then leave you in peace but am usually around if required. Bickton is a quiet hamlet on the very edge of the New Forest yet only half an hours drive from some glorious beaches. Fordingbridge is 2 miles away with all the facilities you would expect from a small town. We have ample parking on the driveway, and walking, driving or cycling is the easiest way to get around our rural local area. There is also a bus from the end of the road that goes to Salisbury or Bournemouth, both about half an hour. The New Forest national park is a 2 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk across fields. The Avon Valley Way passes through the village by the river and joins the city of Salisbury with the coast at Christchurch.
