Very private self contained cabin with fully equipped kitchen, full sized fridge, stainless steel gas oven and burners, beautiful private outdoor bathroom complete with claw foot bath and state of the art composting toilet is overlooking the rainforest. Solar power and hot water (gas booster for overcast periods) and a great pot belly stove for the cooler periods. Views to Sphinx Rock from the beautiful big verandah. Drive only 10 mins to the Border Ranges National Park and 20 mins to Nimbin. An open plan cabin with a studio style layout and large east-facing veranda with a beautiful outlook. The claw foot bath and shower is outside and semi-covered by a high roof, so you can enjoy a bath by candle-light under the stars. There is a creek running through the property that guests have access to as well as the opportunity to stroll around the 100 acres of paddocks and rainforest. The toilet is just a few meters across the deck from the outdoor bath. It is a very private location great for those who really want to get away, but close enough to the local towns to eat out or see music, visit art galleries or go to National Parks for walks etc. The cabin is on 100 acres of rolling paddocks which guests are welcome to walk through. Some forest and newly regenerated areas, as well as a kilometre of creeks. There is only a short gravel driveway to get to the cabin with easy two wheel drive access in all seasons. We live on a property nearby and would be happy to meet you or give advice on places to visit/things to see if you wish. Peaceful rural setting surrounded by bush, lush rainforest and farms. The area is known for it's many beautiful creeks, swimming holes and waterfalls, as well as the alternative community that surrounds Nimbin. The cabin's closeness to the World-Heritage listed Border Ranges National Park is perfect for nature lovers, as there are plenty of bushwalks and lookouts to experience there. The cabin is 1 hour and 15 mins drive from the Gold Coast Airport, and 1 hour and 20 mins from Byron Bay. Nimbin is the closest town, about 20 mins away, and there is a general store/bottle shop about 10 minutes away at Wadeville. There are local Art Galleries, Cafes and outdoor music venues all within 20 minutes.
