the NICHE, Polhena

A newly build villa opened December 24th 2019 in the heart of Polhena. Designed with the idea of bringing nature to you in mind, we have created a space that uses as much of the natural environment as possible. The villa comes with all the modern comforts including hot water, fully equipped kitchen, European size beds, international power plugs, Italian coffee machine and a breezy open plan living space. Whole house except one storage room, where we keep cleaning items etc. Self check in and out, there is a house phone which is free to use for calling us if needed. We are about 40 mins away from the house. If you stay long term, we will come and change the bed sheets, clean and water the plants regularly. Friendly local families who we will always respect (NO loud music, screaming, etc after 7pm) There are plenty of tuk tuk's around the area. There are also buses leaving every 5-10 mins from the main road which is 1km away. Matara also has a train station which is a short tuk tuk ride away We installed international power plugs everywhere in the house especially good for travellers to use cause you won't need an adapter. There is a hidden and NOT MOVABLE safe for your personal belongings. We built a parking space for scooters and bicycles inside the property (no cars please). There are coconut straws in a jar to use and for sale, if you're interested in taking one along your travels feel free to leave us 400rs per piece. There are two yoga mats, beach towels (white & blue) and two snorkeling sets for you to use for free. There is also a NICHE mobile phone which has both our numbers on it to contact us (incl. credit for messages and calls).
