The municipality of Camprodon is one of the largest in the valley, thanks to the addition of the areas of Freixenet, Colònia Estebanell and the picturesque villages of Rocabruna and Beget. In Camprodon, tourism has been present since the beginning of the 19th century, with the arrival of the first hikers and important people from the bourgeoisie of Barcelona.
