The house is on a pleasant estate in a quiet village aiding a peaceful night of sleep. Wi Fi is reliable for the visitor or person working away from home. Wi Fi is turned off at night. Wigan is well situated, in reach of beautiful scenery and Manchester and Liverpool. Four major airports and the seaside are with 50 minutes away. The Lake District, Peak District and Yorkshire Moors are also very accessible. Pub food, great views and Northern friendliness will impress you. The house in the village of Shevington, a few miles north west of Wigan is spacious and uncluttered with comfy beds. The village, a few minutes away on foot has a chip shop, supermarket, off license and other essential services. Two local pubs are providing food and beers. The double bed is firm and their is plenty of storage space. The single room has an orthopedic mattress to ensure a good night of sleep and plenty of wardrobe space and shelving. There is another double room with a softer slumberland mattress, if needed. There are two toilets, one bathroom and shower and the garden can be accessed via the kitchen or a side gate. Breakfast is cereal and toast and unlimited tea and coffee, help yourself. The microwave, toaster, washing machine and dryer are available and I can host individual guests, couples and people working away from home. Parking has space for one extra car on the forecourt. Buses into town are from the main street in Shevington. Ten minutes walk down the hill to the canal Gathurst station with a connecting train to Liverpool, Manchester, Southport, mainline trains to London or Scotland via Wigan North Western or Wigan Wallgate I am on the premises in my own space, just off the living room. The sitting room is communal and there is Wi Fi for your devices. A set of keys for the front of the house are available. and parking on the forecourt. I do like to turn the Wi Fi off when the last person goes to bed. The house is peaceful although I am very sociable ad chatty. Respecting each others' space is no problem of course. Shevington and the surrounding area has beautiful walks. Elnup Wood is lush and green and a stone's throw from the house. At the bottom of the village is the canal leading to Parbold and the other direction is Wigan. Cycling along the tow path, seeing the life of canal boat owners and trying out some great pubs and live music can be a holiday in itself. Rivington Pike, Roby Mill and Beacon Country Park are a short drive away and have views are stunning across the Douglas valley. Shevington is connected by bus, car and train to Wigan, Manchester and Liverpool. 640, 635 buses to Wigan.
