Lovely double room with en suite shower room

This room is on the first floor (second if you're from the US). It's light and airy and has extensive views of London (best in the winter). The double bed is comfortable and the bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower. The bathroom also has a seaside/nautical theme. This is a decent-size double bedroom with private en-suite shower room. There are good views from the window on a clear day, but the area is so full of trees that the amount you can see of London's landmarks is fairly limited until the autumn! Guests will be given their own key. There is also a key safe to which I can give you access if I can't be there to greet you. I will usually be in the property during your stay. If I'm away, I'll always try to make sure someone is here to welcome you and show you round. You'll have your own key so you can come and go as you please. The neighbourhood is friendly and has a real sense of community, with its own festival each year in March. I've been organising the Jazz Night for more years than I care to remember! The Hill Station Cafe is a focal point for the community and often has musical and other evening events. It'sopen Monday 7am-3pm, Tuesday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-5pm There are excellent transport links into London. eight or nine bus routes to various parts of London pass the bottom of the road and there are frequent Network Rail and Overground trains to London from New Cross Gate, with good connections to the Underground. Greenwich and the Thames are a short bus ride away. Various parts of the Kent and Surrey countryside can be reached quite quickly by train. Trains go from Nunhead station, about 15 minutes walk away, to Victoria, Blackfriars (for the Tate Modern) and St Pancras - handy for Eurostar and Kings Cross. They take about half an hour. Some of these trains also serve Luton Airport. There is wi-fi which you're welcome to use. There is a washing machine you can use. An iron and ironing board are also available.
