A 2 bed house in the lovely town of Clitheroe
A spacious terraced house equipped with a functional kitchen diner, and two comfortable double bedrooms. The cosy living area includes a log burner, smart tv and a sofa bed which can create a third (small) double bedroom if required. The house is situated in the historic market town of Clitheroe, nestled within its stunning Ribble Valley surroundings. It has a great offering of local amenities on the doorstep with a bakery, hot food outlets and a supermarket just a short walk away. The ground floor offers a light, open plan kitchen & dining room, and a separate lounge with two sofas. There is a modest yard to the back of the property with an outdoor seating area, perfect for socialising, or having a moment's peace and quiet on a warm day. Upstairs you'll find 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath and shower, and a storage area for luggage as well as a collection of films, board games and books for your perusal. All bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets are within walking distance. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the road, so you can easily get around to the surrounding villages. The train station is less than a mile away and goes through to Manchester Victoria. There is free street parking available with no restriction on timing. You can usually park outside or very near to the property. We live close by, and will always respond to call outs quickly. We would be happy to answer any questions about the area, or take you for a pint at our local! The town itself offers an extensive range of independent and specialist shops to browse, and you will be spoilt for choice with the number of pubs, restaurants, and live music venues. The nearest place to eat out is Holmes Mill (5 minute walk) which boasts one of the largest bars in England and is equipped with its own brewery, food court, bistro and cinema. This is a great place to stay for wedding guests, as you would be a short drive or taxi ride from all local venues such as Eaves Hall, Mitton Hall, Hobbit Hill, Brousholme Hall, The Inn at Whitewell and the Stirk House. Clitheroe is an ideal destination to explore the stunning surroundings of the Valley. With Pendle Hill as it is backdrop and the river Ribble meandering through, it is perfect for walking, cycling, and exploring areas of natural beauty such as the forest of Bowland and Stonyhurst. There is plenty to do and see as a family, with Clitheroe Castle park just moments away, and a short walk to Brungerley Sculpture Trail and Primrose Nature Reserve. Clitheroe also has a swimming pool and leisure centre, and two indoor soft play centres.
