One Queen bedroom, 1 Quadruple bedroom (4 x single beds), 1 twin bedroom (2 x single beds) & sunroom, living area, kitchen and dining room. 2 bathrooms (one includes a bath), separate laundry with washing machine. Reverse cycle heat pump for summer air-conditioned cooling and heating in winter. All linen/towels are provided. No pets allowed. Double boat ramp with ample free parking is situated 900m away next to Low Head Pilot Station precinct. Accommodation check-in is 900m away, at the Low Head Pilot Station café (open 10 - 4:30pm) after hours check-in is no problem with prior arrangement. Lightkeepers cottage is the perfect location base to see the penguins with the nightly Low Head Penguin Tours (300m). East Beach is great for swimming and the western end provides good snorkelling and fishing. The rockpools at either end of the beach are always popular with the children. Low Head Pilot Station is a unique and historical precinct situated at the entry of the Tamar River in Northern Tasmania just 40 minutes drive from Launceston, Australia. Dating back to 1805, the Low Head Conservation Area is the oldest Pilot and Signal Station in Australia and has run continuously since 1833. Offering a diverse range of 19th century buildings overlooking Bass Strait, this charming precinct is a haven of tranquillity and serenity surrounded by pristine beaches and magnificent views.
